So I came up with this idea a couple months ago, and my ex girlfriend drew a design

The artist said this wouldn't be transfered well onto a calf, so he redrew it:

I told him I didn't want any text on it after I saw the design

Predicted time - 3 hours for the outline because it was my first time and he assumed I'd fidget and want a ton of breaks
Actual time - 2 hours to this stage, it needs another hour or 2 to finish the colour.

Where did you get the idea of an octopus on a tower from?

I wanted it to look like King Kong originally but more original. The artist designed it to look like a 1950's horror b-movie. I'm happy with his result as it means I don't have an ex girlfriends design on my leg.

Very nice concept. Good thing you took the red ink well it would probably looked bad if you didnt. Thats why id never get red ink it renders the most complications with skin. But anyways very nice results!

So I got my tattoo finished yesterday (Friday 17th March). The second session hurt so much compared to the first one. It was fully coloured and then white was added to make it look more vibrant. The needle used for the white was so fine, I kept twitching and kicking the artist.

That is a good deal, my tat is around the same size and took 2 sittings (one for outline and one for the coloring in) cost about £170 but that was 10 years ago. The only problem with the light colours is they fade, mine had some yellow but i can hardly see it anymore (might get it recoloured xD)
