It's hard to believe this day finally came; the day where last year's time capsule is opened and next year's is started. It's impossible to foresee your future with any kind of certainty, but maybe that's what makes it so fun. So what happened in the last year? 2009's time capsule post talked about our robot, but I'll be replying to that topic in its own right; no need to dwell on it here. It went well enough, as you recall. No, this post should be about what's going on right now, and what has the potential to improve, increase, decrease, or change (or not)! Despite that, I keep finding myself looking back on last year's post for ideas of what to talk about, lol.

Kind of wish I was still in school. Just started my new job, and without going into further details, you probably remember how that went. If not, your blog has more than enough exposition on the matter. Right now I'm considering the "other" position...and really hope something works out in that direction. A nicer commute, higher pay, and less stress would probably do wonders for me right now. I'll probably know in a few weeks, which means by the time you read this it'll have been ancient history.

How's the Adventures of Jimmy going (again)? When the last Time Capsule was closed, we were at 279 pictures, about to see Jaitia getting "refined" for the first time. Now we're at 507, and saw Jaitia actually work its magic for the first time not long ago. I'm hoping to find the free time to update more, because MAN do I barely have any right now! The Buram Village arc lasted what, well over a year? As cool as Jimmy is, I hope the Resandeve and Lucerne arcs don't have that kind of length.

Game-wise...I just bought FFXIV, though I've played it only a single night due to free time issues. Instead I've been playing my PS3 a lot more, going for Platinum Trophies like the achievement fiend I've always been. Hoping to get my 4th Platinum with 3D Dot Game Heroes in the near future. Who knows what'll happen after that? Probably will buy SA1 on the PSN (but there's no Platinum there.) I have 26 DS games, up 5 from last year. My Last.FM profile has 27,325 plays (it's certainly grown!)

I hope you went to Comic-con 2011. I'm planning to. I'll probably take Xaq and see if he's able to go. I felt pretty bad not going this year, after having been there the last two years in a row.

I know if I don't type more I'm gonna hate myself for it later, so I'm trying to find things to write about, lol. Oh! [Shrek] Hold the phone!

Oh! Aaron! He graduated! Where's he going? How's he doing? Well, I hope! What a change THAT has to be. Oh my god he's driving. SO SCARY. Zach's been over here the last three Friday/Saturdays in a row; did that keep up as well?

Do I still play TF2 a lot? I'll be using my server tomorrow for our competition! I've got over 233 Achievements right now; hopefully more to come, lol. I've also seen like...14 or 15 animes in the last year or something. I wonder if that progressed. Probably!

Homestuck just started Act 5.2. I'm sure Hussie will be finished and long done with his storyline before Jimmy's anywhere near completion.

Still driving your Civic? Still living where I am now? I assume so! Did Jared N. have a nice send-off? Everything going well with Youth still?

Now I'm just grasping at straws. I know you get a bit disappointed every time you stumble upon these topics and you don't have one for yourself to read. So I'm doing you a favor this year. This is my first time doing something like this, so bare with me...

EDIT: As a last thought, remember it's hard to write this. So don't make fun of me when you read it. Jerk.

By the way, I'm listening to Michael Buble's "Haven't Met You Yet." It's a cute song... Not what we usually will listen to, but I find it somewhat appropriate.

So what's happening with you today? I'm alright I suppose... I'm not really happy but I'm not really upset either. It's one of those unusual situations I'm sure you'll understand. I took care of everything for Lifecare to finally hire us today, so when we meet each other, are we going to be working there? Is it for us? Do we even know what is right for us right now? I don't think I do. I hope you will.

Where are we with school? We can easily go to Western if we so choose. I know I'm not sold on Western now, but it's a good fall back place right? It's not a bad school, so don't get upset if that's where you are. We both know it's the finances, not the grades, that would keep you away from somewhere better. You've already did a lot of damage when it comes to your education, so don't get lost again.

Speaking of school though, are you getting out more? We really should... Heck, even writing this up I feel a bit smothered by people. That's not healthy amigo. We've got to work on that, don't we? Hopefully the in between us will have these kinks worked out. I know we live somewhat stagnant right now... I hope we still don't do that kid.

Are we still at RuneVillage? I hope you last long enough to read this. You've met some pretty interesting people here. Do you still know them? Are they still around too? If not, do you still keep in touch with them? It's hard to think that some of the people you've met on here will just disappear on you. It happens I suppose... But I hope you make the effort to keep up with some of them. As long as we keep Jackstick at emails distance, I don't think there will be serious negative attributes to our health if we do keep up with some of the villagers for awhile...

Are we still making fun of Jackstick? It's not a bad shtick... If we are, I hope we've got some really killer stuff to hound him with.

What do you like? I'll watch anything that has Clint Eastwood somewhere in the credits. Courage the Cowardly Dog, Johnny Bravo, Tom and Jerry. Some jerk at Subway laughed at the idea of me watching cartoons today, do you still do that? Don't buy into the mantra some idiots keep about cartoons. They're an expression of creativity and I'm sure you wouldn't mind finding yourself writing some cartoon scripts in the future. That would be a sweet gig, no?

Remember your dreams? Backpacking across the world? I'm telling you right now you better remember it. Seeing the world from a book or a picture never does it justice. While we're talking backpacking, are we in better shape now? I know our knee hurts like hell about every day, but there is a world out there to been seen, and we're not doing it by not getting out there.

So what's happening with your crappy car? Does the thing still run? Did you get that whole stalling/starting mystery found and fixed? Do you even drive that thing?

Have you written anything substantial since this? Did you go back to helping the food drives over Thanksgiving and Christmas? You own a hell of a lot of books, have you been reading them? There are so many things I'd love to discuss with you, but I can't cover them all... All and all, remember that we're a team. If you take anything away from this, let it be this. Hello Scar of one year from now! Prepare for quite the read, I am going to follow through with our plan to not only address our goals for the next year but to also go through our problems and discuss things we have for ourself in our head that we would like to see become reality.

My first thing I want to talk about is your health. I know when we got out physical for school in August they told you that you were perfectly healthy. But they did recommend that we start to think about losing 20-30 pounds because of the history of heart and weight issues in the older men in our family. Although since writing the first part of this paragraph you have managed to get your weight down to 225lbs which is a great start! Hopefully you have carried through on our plans to start running everyday, remember the secret plan we have that requires us to be in great shape? Hopefully you have carried that further as I think it could be a lot of fun in the end.

As I type this I have every intention of going into Industrial Design, which is amazing considering where we were just a year ago on this decision. I assume you're still at CCAD? Baring some major disaster or change of heart or kidnapping I don't see a reason to leave. Afterall I am happier here than most anywhere else I've been.

In the same vein, which sculpture class did you end up going with for Spring Semester? I know you were leaning towards wood at the time of writing this, but at the back of your mind there is a nagging thought that maybe metal would be more fun. Regardless, how did you end up doing in all your classes last year? Right now we are doing great, all A's or B's and your Design teacher seems to think you have some potential.

Are you still working at Vancrest? I know we had plans to find something better to do that didn't involve going home every other weekend to work but did anything pan out for you? Did you ever even try to start selling work on DeviantART, or did you find some other job that you love?

Also how did Karate go? It is Wednesday right now, and you are supposed to start this Sunday with Nathan, but did you stick with it? Hopefully you did and you learned something from it. Not that you need help to defend yourself or anything, but it is a good way to learn discipline after all.

How has your Portfolio developed in the last year? It was good enough to get you into school here, but I imagine it is getting so much better now that you are in your Sophomore year of school. I mean look at the jump you made from highschool to now, and that was with just one class at a time. I can only imagine what you will create with every class you have focused on art.

Lastly, how goes the Mining and Crafting? Did you ever finish the Pyramid? I know you just put in the lava fall which ended up being disaster at first lol. Do you still even play it? Did we move to a new map? What are biomes like?

Anyway, I hope it's been a good year and that you've stuck with everything you wanted to. Have a great rest of 2011.

Apparently, your message in the '09 capsule was lost for some reason or another, or maybe it was actually in the 2008 capsule which actually WAS lost. You're not sure either way.
Your grades are fantastic, when you decide to do the material. Get your lazy ass of the couch and do . You're not lazy, but you do need reason to do stuff, and "just do it", won't get you anywhere. Find purpose.

(For maximum nostalgic effect, listen to Clannad's "Country Train". That's what I was doing the entire time I read last year's post, and wrote this one. It fits REALLY WELL somehow.)

It's hard to believe this day finally came; the day where last year's time capsule is opened and next year's is started. It's impossible to foresee your future with any kind of certainty, but maybe that's what makes it so fun. So what happened in the last year? 2009's time capsule post talked about our robot, but I'll be replying to that topic in its own right; no need to dwell on it here. It went well enough, as you recall. No, this post should be about what's going on right now, and what has the potential to improve, increase, decrease, or change (or not)! Despite that, I keep finding myself looking back on last year's post for ideas of what to talk about, lol.

Kind of wish I was still in school. Just started my new job, and without going into further details, you probably remember how that went. If not, your blog has more than enough exposition on the matter. Right now I'm considering the "other" position...and really hope something works out in that direction. A nicer commute, higher pay, and less stress would probably do wonders for me right now. I'll probably know in a few weeks, which means by the time you read this it'll have been ancient history.

How's the Adventures of Jimmy going (again)? When the last Time Capsule was closed, we were at 279 pictures, about to see Jaitia getting "refined" for the first time. Now we're at 507, and saw Jaitia actually work its magic for the first time not long ago. I'm hoping to find the free time to update more, because MAN do I barely have any right now! The Buram Village arc lasted what, well over a year? As cool as Jimmy is, I hope the Resandeve and Lucerne arcs don't have that kind of length.

Game-wise...I just bought FFXIV, though I've played it only a single night due to free time issues. Instead I've been playing my PS3 a lot more, going for Platinum Trophies like the achievement fiend I've always been. Hoping to get my 4th Platinum with 3D Dot Game Heroes in the near future. Who knows what'll happen after that? Probably will buy SA1 on the PSN (but there's no Platinum there.) I have 26 DS games, up 5 from last year. My Last.FM profile has 27,325 plays (it's certainly grown!)

I hope you went to Comic-con 2011. I'm planning to. I'll probably take Xaq and see if he's able to go. I felt pretty bad not going this year, after having been there the last two years in a row.

Oh! Aaron! He graduated! Where's he going? How's he doing? Well, I hope! What a change THAT has to be. Oh my god he's driving. SO SCARY. Zach's been over here the last three Friday/Saturdays in a row; did that keep up as well?

Do I still play TF2 a lot? I'll be using my server tomorrow for our competition! I've got over 233 Achievements right now; hopefully more to come, lol. I've also seen like...14 or 15 animes in the last year or something. I wonder if that progressed. Probably!

Homestuck just started Act 5.2. I'm sure Hussie will be finished and long done with his storyline before Jimmy's anywhere near completion.

Hello Scar of one year from now! Prepare for quite the read, I am going to follow through with our plan to not only address our goals for the next year but to also go through our problems and discuss things we have for ourself in our head that we would like to see become reality.

My first thing I want to talk about is your health. I know when we got out physical for school in August they told you that you were perfectly healthy. But they did recommend that we start to think about losing 20-30 pounds because of the history of heart and weight issues in the older men in our family. Although since writing the first part of this paragraph you have managed to get your weight down to 225lbs which is a great start! Hopefully you have carried through on our plans to start running everyday, remember the secret plan we have that requires us to be in great shape? Hopefully you have carried that further as I think it could be a lot of fun in the end.

As I type this I have every intention of going into Industrial Design, which is amazing considering where we were just a year ago on this decision. I assume you're still at CCAD? Baring some major disaster or change of heart or kidnapping I don't see a reason to leave. Afterall I am happier here than most anywhere else I've been.

In the same vein, which sculpture class did you end up going with for Spring Semester? I know you were leaning towards wood at the time of writing this, but at the back of your mind there is a nagging thought that maybe metal would be more fun. Regardless, how did you end up doing in all your classes last year? Right now we are doing great, all A's or B's and your Design teacher seems to think you have some potential.

Are you still working at Vancrest? I know we had plans to find something better to do that didn't involve going home every other weekend to work but did anything pan out for you? Did you ever even try to start selling work on DeviantART, or did you find some other job that you love?

Also how did Karate go? It is Wednesday right now, and you are supposed to start this Sunday with Nathan, but did you stick with it? Hopefully you did and you learned something from it. Not that you need help to defend yourself or anything, but it is a good way to learn discipline after all.

How has your Portfolio developed in the last year? It was good enough to get you into school here, but I imagine it is getting so much better now that you are in your Sophomore year of school. I mean look at the jump you made from highschool to now, and that was with just one class at a time. I can only imagine what you will create with every class you have focused on art.

Lastly, how goes the Mining and Crafting? Did you ever finish the Pyramid? I know you just put in the lava fall which ended up being disaster at first lol. Do you still even play it? Did we move to a new map? What are biomes like?
