 Post subject: How do i make abstract backgrounds?

there is a sticky, but the images dont work and the first download that is given isnt a correct link :\ can anyone please help me out?

try searching with google for some... that's how i found some good ones. And make sure to download some abstract brushes.

Here is a simple one:

Make a photoshop file with the settintgs 400x125.
Go to filters/render/clouds with the two color palettes set to default (black and white)
Make a new layer, and use an abstract brush with white in a few spots.
Make a new layer and use a different brush with black in a few spots.
Continue this until you are satisfied.
Then use either the color balance mode on the layers separately or use the saturation/hue setting, both found in image/adjustments.
Then if you want add images, text, etc.

There you go.

oo ok, i do have photoshop so that does help; if anyone has any more tips it will be greatly appreciated. Thnx again dragon.

alright i got photoshop, but when i do the render clouds thing i get an error that says not enough memory (RAM)

that means one of 2 things.... you must clean off some disk space, or you must get better ram, or close some processes first. That is not a good sign... you need to upgrade dude, unless you have a ton of spyware.
