Because western society, especially the English speaking regions, views it as perfectly acceptable to treat young people like Fuzzy Bunny.

Nice :?:

I'm serious. All these ads do is make us (well, not me, but general populations) feel sorry for these people when we have nearly the same problems here. Children starving, we got it. Violent crime? Got that too. Poor leadership? Bingo. Keep the money where it belongs, in your own damn country. Fix your own home before trying to fix an unfixable country. Do you seriously believe we can fix half of Africa and most of the Middle East?

AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA

I get what you're saying with fix your own country first, but our problems are nothing like theirs. If you dont want to give money that's your own choice, but I'd never want to see people die unneccesarily.

White guilt.

Couldn't care less about this or any other ridiculous political fad. I know nothing of it, nor do I care to.

Because they do not seem to have the initiative to improve their quality of life. The reason we're able to type on these computers and speculate is because someone was creative enough to test sending signals down various mediums (electronic, radio, light), and link that method of communication to a computer. We have computers and machines because we needed more manpower with less men. We needed machines to offer more manpower because there was a demand for decent-quality products and too few workers capable of providing. We have a demand for decent quality because we discovered it's a better lifestyle than living like a tribe on the plains. We made the discovery because we were intelligent enough to try putting two and two together about where we lived, where we haven't been, and what around us can be useful.

Homo sapiens, compared to the other species in the world, have a shockingly fast rate of learning and cultural evolution. We've gone from manpower boats and cannonballs to renewable energy potential and tactical equipment, straw huts to secure wood / stone / metal homes, and trying to survive each day as a challenge to thriving on a self-sustaining lifestyle. If these countries don't care to catch up, it's their fault. The world's out there to explore, and it's damn sure already out there to learn from.

Sooo, the guy who filmed Kony2012 and one of the co-founders of the charity got arrested for public intoxication and... having a bit of 'fun' with himself in public.

Now THOSE guys know how to make a PSA.

At this point I feel compelled to point out that I never actually watched the video in the original post. I just looked this up on wikipedia for 10 seconds...
