Well.. today marks the third day of rain in Central Pennsylvania and it doesn't seem to want to give up. Everybody is going crazy with the amount of flooding going on. The Susquehanna River, which has a flood stage of 17 feet, is expected to crest at 30 feet. Here are a few pictures of the creek that is currently flooding at my college:

Sign reads: "Area prone to flooding".

Wow, that's awesome looking, but scary!

So I decided to take a drive down to the Susquehanna River to see what the current conditions are. Here are a few more pictures:

Image

A guy's cabin that is located in the middle of the river. If the river rises to its' crest it will be fully under.

Image

A private boat club that is now underwater. If it crests at 30 feet it will be at the edge of the roof.

Image

Pennsylvania's capital, Harrisburg, and the Susquehanna River (currently at 21 feet).

Flooding of the Yellow Breeches Creek.
