Who needs signatures or post counts or join dates or even persistent topcis for that matter? Here is an example of another community thriving on a perhaps seemingly anti-survival format but it works.

No offence, I find this format quite ugly and clunky to me. I much prefer the standard forum format.

I think I'd have to agree--that would take some getting used to, and I think the standard format keeps a lot more of the personalization of users, which I like.

This is basically one change that doesn't really get made to forums after years of its existence. To completely alter these things that distinguish who's who--even to a community where we know each other pretty much by name and avatar alone--just becomes confusing.

We don't need it, but we grew up with it and wanna keep it. :3
