Is there a reason they still keep happening? I thought the server switch was supposed to stop this from happening? But since we've switched it's happened a few times, once about 2 hours ago. I just want to know if there's anything that can be done to stop them from happening completely?

Edit- It happened again literally as I hit 'Enter' on this post...ironic.

It is getting very annoying. I'm in the middle of something, try to go to next page, BAM. It sometimes happens for 10 minutes at a time.

Oh man Jan, you just got zinged by Riptide. How much does THAT suck?

Well, statistically speaking, slightly more than a giant suckusaur. A dire one.

Hmm, I haven't experienced any yet. What happens when the server "crashes" for you? Do you get a "500 Internal Server State" error? Does the site refuse to load for you?

EDIT: hmm, I'm seeing quite a few "500" errors in the logs... Odd.

Greetings,
Glodenox

Odd. The only big crash I got was a week ago and it was gone ten seconds later...

I get quite a lot of chat lag but I haven't noticed any forum crashes recently.

Yeah I haven't noticed a whole lot of crashes, I've probably gotten 3 crashes (one being a 500 internal sever thing) in the past month.

I get a few every so often. It's the usual light blue background, white box with red border. Something like, and error occurred, contact the administrator, etc...

I know last night, I wasn't the only one that got hit with it, and this wasn't an error message I had seen before. It said something about sending a message to the admin team with an email that was @runevillage.com. If I get it again, I'll be sure to copy and paste it. It was white with black text and pretty long.

tanks.. that sounds like the msg screen you get for a "500" error.. but it's odd that we'd be getting that.. a "500" error is usually a programming error...

No clue what it was, it wasn't the usual error message. I know Rory couldn't get on last night at the same time, either, but I don't know if he had the same error that I did.

A lightblue screen with an error text and an email message is usually an error at the database. Feel free to post those, but I don't think I'll actually be able to solve them.

Most likely the database was restarting at that point (not sure why it's doing that, but it seems to restart every x hours), which means the code can't access the database for a short period of time.

Another possibility is that the firewall blocked you guys out, which gets reset after a certain amount of time.

Greetings,
Glodenox
