Blackmage just logged onto MSN, and sent me a link, then logged off straight away.

Obviously, I thought it was a virus so I didn't click it, and after doing a little research, my theory was confirmed.

Basically, it is exactly the same as the virus that spread by sending a zip message to all of your contacts, but this one is through a URL. Luckily, with the zip file, it normally contained a funny message making it easy to notice.

There are many links that could be sent, and I have a list that I won't be posting (so if you wanna check, just PM me). A majority of the links are .info or .mobi, which is probably because info and mobi domains are fairly cheap to obtain.

Anyway, this one seems simple enough. All of the sites I have looked at, though most were in a foreign language, tell that all you have to do is change your MSN password.
Simple enough.

But I would also suggest doing a Virus scan and Adware scan, just to be safe.

Just keep an eye out.

Lol this is the first time it happens to you?

Like 4 of my friends have been doing that for the past years. They even send it if I'm online, so it's obviously a bot...

Nothing new..I have my friends who are computer Fuzzy Bunny. The messages are usually like:
Hey, I just got a picture and I think this is you (Link/file)
Hey, check who is blocking you on msn now:Link
And a few others..You must be pretty stupid not to notice this, the thing is most of my contacts on MSN don't use the best spelling and the virus's usually contain perfect English, easy to recognise it if the instant signing out didn't do it.I've blocked many of my friends for being stupid and getting the virus in the first place :D.

I think that virus is what screwed up my old computer, lol. When I first got MSN I was like 10 or 11 and was pretty Internet-ignorant, lol.

Oh Mord, you're such a predator.

But uh, why do I never get any of these virus things? It's unfair you guys get them and I don't.

It may be because I have no friends.
