The Alfred Grimhand Bar Crawl Guide


The Alfred Grimhand Bar Crawl is required to enter the Barbarian Outpost Agility Course.

Also, with the completion of the Bar Crawl, you'll be able to start the quests Horror from the Deep and Scorpion Catcher.

To begin the Bar Crawl, travel up to the Barbarian Outpost.



A quick means of transportation would be the Barbarian Outpost teleport on the games necklace.

Upon arriving at the Outpost, try entering. You'll be stopped by one of the guards and told you need to complete The Alfred Grimhand Bar Crawl. He'll hand you a Bar Crawl card.

After you've received the card, read it and you'll notice you have to visit 10 bars. These bars are located all across RuneScape. The Bar Crawl mini-quest adds up to a total of 218 GP for all the beers. (Does not include the boat trips from Port Sarim to Karamja)

Whenever you arrive at a Bar, speak to the Bartender. If you are carrying your Bar Crawl card, you'll have an option, "I'm doing the Alfred Grimhand Memorial Bar Crawl." If you pick this option, he'll sell you the special drink only available during this mini-quest. Each drink has it's own unique effect, meaning they can lower your hitpoints and stats.

To see your progress, read the Bar Crawl card. If you have visited the Bar it will be green, if you haven't visited the Bar it will be red. After visiting all 10 bars, you won't be able to read the card. It will say, "You are too drunk to be able to read the Bar Crawl Card." Return back to the Barbarian Outpost and speak with the guard. Congratulations, you've completed The Alfred Grimhand Bar Crawl!



Bar: Blurberry's Bar
Location: Grand Tree, on the first floor
Drink Name: Fire Toad Blast
Price: 10 GP
Effect: -2 HP



Bar: The Jolly Boar Inn
Location: North-east of Varrock
Drink Name: Olde Suspiciouse
Price: 10 GP
Effect: -8 Attack, -7 Defence, -6 Magic, -6 Crafting, -6 Mining



Bar: The Forester's Arms
Location: Seer's Village, west of the bank
Drink Name: Liverbane
Price: 18 GP
Effect: -8 Attack, -6 Defence, -5 Fletching, -5 Firemaking, -5 Woodcutting



Bar: Dragon Inn
Location: Yanille, west of the Magic Guild
Drink Name: Fire Brandy
Price: 12 GP
Effect: -11 Attack, -10 Defence



Bar: Rusty Anchor Inn
Location: Port Sarim, east of the Axe shop
Drink Name: Black Skull Ale
Price: 8 GP
Effect: None



Bar: Karamja Spirits Bar
Location: Karamja, east of the General Store
Drink Name: Ape Bite Liqueur
Price: 7 GP
Effect: None



Bar: Flying Horse Inn
Location: Ardougne, north of the Palace
Drink Name: Heart Stopper
Price: 8 GP
Effect: -10 HP



Bar: Dead Man's Chest
Location: Brimhaven, slightly north of the amulet trader
Drink Name: Supergrog
Price: 15 GP
Effect: -8 Attack, - 7 Defence, -6 Prayer, -6 Herblore, -7 Cooking



Bar: The Rising Sun
Location: Falador, near the center of town
Drink Name: Hand of Death Cocktail
Price: 70 GP
Effect: -8 Attack, -6 Defence, -6 Range, -6 Fishing



Bar: Blue Moon Inn
Location: Varrock, south side of town, east of the sword shop
Drink Name: Uncle Humphrey's Gutrot
Price: 50 GP
Effect: -8 Attack, -7 Strength, -7 Defence, -6 Smithing

The old guide listed the bars in a sort of order in which made visiting them quicker. The new guide just has the list of bars and doesn't show you any efficeint way of doing the crawl at all. At least put them in the same order as the old guide please

It will be near identical to the old guide, but with a more proper and picturesque feel. Relax.
