I just had the thought of making a new rank. It will be awarded to an RV'er between 6000 - 8000 posts, I haven't thought of which one yet, that is why I made a poll, to let my fellow RV'ers decide .

I took a little bit of the Champion of Saradomin and a little bit of the "wreath" of an RV Legend. If the little wreath is a little...discriminating, well not really, but if the Runevillage Legends think that their wreath is a sign of the uniqueness of being an RV Legend, I will fix that problem with another picture at which the moment I do not have...but will make. But I have a problem...I don't really know how to make the sword hilts even under the crown (as you can see they are a little crooked, I need help with that problem).

I just thought of this new rank when I saw some RV'ers a few thousand posts over 500o and I just thought to myself: *There should be a new rank....*. Then I just....made it . I came up with the name from the guilds in Runescape. It seemed that the Hero's/Legend's guild seemed more important than the Champion's....and I'm sure it is to most people , and I thought of the Champion of Saradomin rank and...I came up with the name.

If I don't really have the 'authority' to 'authorize' new ranks (for some reason, I wouldn't know ) then let me know and lock this thread if it is necessary.

Ehh...I'm not sure we need it.

For one thing, yeah, the Legends' Wreath is sacred, and as far as I know it will never, ever be used in any other rank images.

Also, only 14 people currently hold the 5000+ post rank. If this rank was at...

...6,000 posts, we'd have 11 Heroes and 3 Champions.
...7,000 posts, we'd have 2 Heroes and 12 Champions.
...8,000 posts, we'd have 1 Hero and 13 Champions.

I appreciate the effort, but when the Champion group already has only fourteen people, I just don't see the need to split these people up even further...

Jaron summed it up for me, but that's not to say I wouldn't mind a post rank between 3,000 and 5,000. There's quite the gap in between Sorceror of Saradomin and Champion of Saradomin, but I'm not too certain about that myself.

We recently had a new post rank implemeneted, I don't think we need another one for a while.

Plus, one of the harder aspects of adding a new rank is the design for it. Last time around, several people's designs had the yellow laurels that are found in the legend's rank, and that became a problem because people believed that should be exclusive to the legends, which makes sense. The post ranks only have 3 accessories to use; a blue shield, swords, and a crown. We pretty much had to pile all three of those on top of eachother to make the 5000 post rank.

But yeah, it's not necessary. Perhaps some time in the future, but certainly not now.

Yeah, I see what you guys mean. I was just wondering if my fellow villagers wanted a new rank, that's why I put up the polls to decide. I would go with whatever the RV 'ers think .

It's a great idea, Ray, but it was reeeally hard getting the latest rank approved by hiker because it was barely necessary. I do not think we will need/have a new rank in a long while, unfortunately. But I do like your idea!

I'm not to keen on the idea of having yet another rank. As Jaron stated, it would lead to less people having the Champion of Saradomin rank, and most of the people with very high post ranks are Staff Members of some sort anyway.

So, you got 2 admins and 2 board moderators opinions, and each said that it isn't necessary and would take way to long for Hiker to approve. So I'm going to lock this. If you want it reopened, please PM me and we'll discuss it.
