A new rank.

Well with the talk of a new clan chat being made, It seems alot of the current RV Mods don't actually play RS much. There can be hours where there isn't even a single mod in the room and where people can run around making all sorts of trouble.
My proposal is that a new rank is made, Clan chat mod. Now i don't have any personal recomendations for anyone to take the rank, But preferally an active person on both RS and RV.

Agreed, it's actually quite rare that there is a clan chat mod in chat, so if a troublemaker comes, we're stuck.

I'm sure if you checked, very few mods play RS and I think only 1 admin does.

Somebody who is in RV CC most of the time would do the job brilliantly.

We could perhaps allow some more trusted players to be moderators indeed. It's not up to me though, so don't take me on my word

Proberbly many more but those are the 3 that come to mind when I think active on RS but no RV rank.

We're actually discussing this right now (and have been for a fair bit of time). We also have discussed a few candidates. (Moderators see this topic.)

In reference to your list, H K: Ozzie Bond is supposed to have a Moderator rank in the clan chat, but as Mustangnut has been inactive lately we've been unable to update his rank.

Good idea, there has been so much trouble in there lately and they basically stop when a moderator comes in and starts again when they leave..

Anyway, if you've been active in Donut Juice's global, you'll see that there are tag rank sigs designed for RVCC mods, so there is technically a rank image for it. As for a "first class" rank, (meaning rvcc mods would have a specific name color, possibly a forum for themselves, and a rank image) I can't say much on that, mostly because I don't know much on it.

Runescape and RV are separate, ranks on Runescape should not equate ranks on runevillage.

That being said you should choose active and helpful moderators for the chat based on both forum and rs experiences, obviously no-one that has gotten in trouble in the past or has been known to break runescape rules, it doesn't show a very good example.

Yeh good idea. It might make some grief though if some of the mods of "Rv Lounge" quit RuneScape then they're rank on the RuneVillage forums would have to be removed aswell also.

Their rank would no longer serve a purpose if they quit...

Their job is to moderate RV Lounge, so if they quit, they lose the rank. As such, if an rv chat mod decides to stop visiting the chatroom/chat mod forum, they would eventually lose their rank. If a forum mod doesn't remain active in moderating and discussing in the mod forums, they lose their rank.
