It used to be that I could close the window I had RV on, and then come back 10 minutes later and still be logged on. Now it automatically logs me off after closing the window. Is it supposed to do that?

It's all about your cookies settings. If you have them set to be removed always after you leave the site, then it's working as intended.

Make sure your cookies aren't deleting themselves as Milo said, then logout, go to the login page, check "Keep me logged in" or whatever, and login :)

I recently had that problem as well, but I simply changed my settings to not delete my cookies after closing the browser.

yah, just keep it on 'log me in automatically'.

It's a lot easier.
