Easy Tasks


To complete this section of the Achievement Diary, you need:

Quests: Rune Myseries
Items: Pickaxe (any kind), Hatchet (any kind), Bones (any kind), Soft clay, 50 Kudos, Earth Talisman OR Earth Tiara, Cup of Tea, Feathers (x5), Fly Fishing rod, Knife, 1150GP + 5-25K*.
*One of the tasks requires you to move your house using the Varrock Estate Agents. There are multiple locations each costing different prices. 5k-25k
Skills: 15 Mining, 13 Agility, 8 Crafting, 10 Construction, 20 Fishing

We recommend you complete the tasks in the following order, starting from the West end of Varrok - and Ending at the East.
Task order: 11, 5, 10, 17, 1, 8, 19, 15, 12, 9, 13, 2, 6, 4, 14, 3, 7, 16.



Have Thessalia show you what outfits you can wear – Task1
From Varrok Square, find Thessalia’s clothing shop, and use the “Change Clothes” option. To complete this task, you do not have to change your clothes. When you select the option, you will of completed the task.


Have Aubury teleport you to the Essence mine – Task2
Requirement: Rune Myseries
Find Aubury behind the East Varrock bank in the Rune shop. Select the option “Teleport Aubury”.


Mine some Iron ore in the Mining spot S.E (South East) of Varrock – Task3
Requirement: 15 Mining + Pickaxe (Any kind).
Travel out of Varrock through the East exit and travel South until you come across the Mining spot. Wield your pickaxe and mine an Iron rock.


Make a plank at the saw-mill – Task4
Requirements: 100gp, Hatchet OR a regular log.
Travel out of Varrok through the East exit and travel North until you come the Lumber Yard. There is a shack found outside, click “Buy Plank” from the Sawmill Operator.


Enter the second level of the Stronghold of Security – Task5
Travel to the Barbarian Village and head down the Ladder found in the centre. If you have completed the Stronghold of Security, you may enter the Portal and find your way through the maze. Once at the center, go down a level to complete the Task.


Jump over the fence, South of Varrock (Heading towards Lumbridge) – Task 6
Requirements: 13 Agility
Head S (South) out of Varrock and follow the path until you find a shortcut symbol on your Mini-map. Jump over the fence to complete the task.


Chop down a Dying tree in the Lumber Yard – Task 7
Requirements: An axe
Behind the Sawmill operator is the Lumber Yard, enter by slipping through the crack in the fence and chopping down one of the multiple Dead tree’s.


Buy a copy of the Varrock Herald – Task 8
Requirements: 50gp
Talk to Benny found at the Centre of Varrock and buy a copy of the Varrock Herald.


Give a stray dog a bone – Task 9
Requirements: Bones (any kind).
There are stray dogs wondering around Varrock, most commonly found near the South East area of Varrock and near the Black Arm gang hide-out.


Make a bowl on the pottery wheel, then fire it in the pottery oven found in the Barbarian Village – Task 10
Requirements: 8 Crafting + Soft clay.
Go to Barbarian Village with some Soft clay (Can be obtained by mining clay and using water on it). Go inside the Pottery building and use the Soft clay on the Potter’s wheel, and select the option to make a Bowl. Then use the ‘Unfired Bowl’ on the Pottery oven.


Enter Edgeville dungeon using the entrance to the south of Edgeville – Task 11
From Edgeville bank, walk south into the old deserted building and climb down the trapdoor. Found in the S.E corner (South East).

Move your POH portal to a different location using the Varrok Estate Agent’s – Task 12
Requirements: 5-25K, 10-50 Construction (Depending on where you want to move it).
Go to the Varrock Estate Agents and speak with the Estate Agent. Move your house to a different portal.


Speak to Haig Halen after obtaining at least 50 Kudos* – Task 13
Requirements: Varies
Go to the Varrok Museum if you have obtained 50 Kudos*, then talk to Haig Halen.

*Kudos are obtained by completing tasks for the Museum Curator found in the Basement of the Varrock Museum. He is looking for 5 artefacts all worth 10 Kudos each.

Enter the Earth Alter using an Earth tiara or talisman – Task 14
Requirements: Earth Talisman or Tiara
Enter the Earth alter using an Earth Tiara or Talisman. Earth Talismans can be found by killing:

+Hill Giants
+Earth Elementals
+Earth Wizards
+Bought in the Grand Exchange

Have Elsie tell you a story – Task 15
Requirements: A cup of tea
If you don’t have a cup of tea, Steal one from the store east of the East bank. You can purchase one or steal one from the store. Go to the church and head up the stairs. From here speak to Elsie and have her tell you a story.


Mine some limestone near Paterdomus, the temple to the E (East) of Varrock – Task 16
Requirements: 10 Mining, Pickaxe (any kind).
Exit varrok through the East exit and head North East to a gate. Go through the gate and travel along the path, following the cliffs to the north along the path Eastwards. You will see a Quest symbol on the mini-map. Travel North when you can and mine Limestone from the Quarry there.

Catch a trout in the River to the East of Barbarian Village – Task 17
Requirement: 20 Fishing, around 10 feathers.
Head to the Barbarian Village and use the “Lure” option on the fishing spots near the Bridge. You can catch Trout and Salmon, Trout being the more common option. 10 Feathers is too be on the safe side, you may catch 9 Salmon and just 1 trout!

Venture through the cobwebbed corridor in Varrock Sewers – Task 18
Requirement: Knife, Or an item with a ‘slash’ option.
Head into Varrock sewers and follow the path along until you reach a Web blocking your path. Use the ‘slash’ option on the web.

Find the highest point in Varrock – Task 19
[Head to the NW (North West) corner of the castle. Climb all the way up the stairs to reach the top level.

To complete this section of the Achievement Diary, you need:

We recommend you complete the tasks in the following order, starting from the West end of Varrok - and Ending at the East.
Task order:

Have the Apothecary in Varrock make you a Strength potion - Task1
Requirement: Red Spider's Egg, Limpwurt Root and 5gp.
Speak to the Apothecary found in his house in Varrock (South of the West exit), and ask him to make you a Strength Potion.

Enter the Champions' Guild - Task2
Requirement: 32QP
Go through the South exit and head slightly SW (South West). Enter the Champions Guild.

Take the Dagon-Hai shortcut to the chaos portal - Task3
Requirement: What Lies Below, Chaos Talisman or Tiara
Enter the Saradomin statue slightly SW of the Lumber Yard. Go to the end of the Lair and exit through the Chaos Portal.

Get a full complement of rats on your rat pole - Task4
Requirement: Rat Catchers, Kitten OR a cat, Rat Pole
Catch 6 rats, and place them on your rat pole.

Escape from the spider lair in Varrock Sewers with some red spider's eggs - Task5
Requirement: Knife, or a weapon with 'Slash' option
Travel though Varrock sewers until you come to the area infested with Red Spiders, take some Eggs from around this area.

Use the spirit tree north of Varrock - Task6
Requirements: Tree Gnome Village
Travel over the bridge NE (North East) from Edgeville and you will come across a Spirit tree. Travel anywhere using this tree.

Perform the four emotes from the Stronghold of Security - Task7
Requirements: Finished the Stronghold of Security
Perform the Emotes: Idea, Stamp, Flap and Slap Head anywhere in Varrock.

Select a colour for a new kitten - Task 8
Requirements: Gertrudes Cat, Garden of Tanquility, Ring of Charos (a), 100gp
Equip your Ring and speak with Gertrude. When the Dialogue box opens, use the 'Charm' option. You will then be able to choose the colour of the cat.

Use the shortcut under the west wall of Varrock Palace - Task9
Requirements: 21 Agility

Enter the A Soul's Bane rift - Task10
Requirements: Souls Bane, A.
From where you started the quest, travel down the rift.

Teleport to the Digsite using a digsite pendant - Task11
Requirements: 49 Magic, learned how to make a Digsite Pendant.
Make a Ruby necklace and enchant it. Then rub it and teleport to the Digsite. If you cannot enchant a Ruby Necklace, then you need to travel to the Varrock Museum to find out how.

Craft an earth tiara on the Earth Altar - Task12
Requirements: Earth Talisman + Blank Tiara
Use your Talisman on the Earth Alter to create an Earth Tiara.

Pickpocket a guard in the Varrock Palace courtyard - Task13
Requirements: 40 Thieving
Go to Varrock Palace courtyard, and Thieve from a Guard.

Use the Teleport to Varrock spell - Task14
Requirements: 25 Magic ~ 3Airs, 1Fire, 1 Law OR 1 Varrock tele-tablet.
Click the Teleport to Varrock spell, or 'Smash' the Varrock teletab.

Get a Slayer task from Vannaka - Task15
Requirements: 40Combat
Get a slayer task from Vannaka found in Edgeville dungeon. Be sure to of completed your previous task before asking for a new one.

Buy twenty mahogany planks from the Sawmill Operator in one transaction - Task16
Requirements: 20 Mahogany Logs + 30k
Buy 20 Mahogany planks from the Sawmill Operator.

Pick a fruit from the White Tree - Task17
Requirements: Garden of Tranquility
Pick some fruit from the White Tree.

Use the hot air balloon to travel from Varrock to somewhere else - Task18
Requirements: Enlightened Journey, An, 20 Firemaking, Tinderbox, A Log (Normal will do).
Travel anywhere using the Hot Air Balloon. Entrana is easiest with a normal log.

Get a cat training medal from Gertrude - Task19
Requirements: Cat, Gertrudes Cat
Have your cat catch 100 rats. Rats are found all over the RS map, most commonly found in the Lumbridge basement or Varrock sewers. A message will show periodically alerting you to your progress. Speak to Gertrude once you have caught 100.

Dial to the fairy ring west of Varrock - Task20
Requirements: Fary Tale Pt. II
Go to Zanaris and dial 'DKR' from the fairy-ring. You only have to of completed some of the quest to use the fairy rings.

Browse through Oziach's Armour Shop - Task21
Requirements: Dragon Slayer
In Edgeville, browse through Oziach's armour stall.

To complete this section of the Achievement Diary, you need:

Quests: Family Crest, Desert Treasure.
Items: 2 Dashing Kebbit fur, Hammer, Adamantite Bar, Chefs Hat/Cooking cape, Battlestaff, Air Orb (Orb charged), Soft Clay, Varrock Teleport (Teleportation-tablet OR 3 Airs, 1 Fire and 1 Law), Axe (Any kind), 15,800k*.

We recommend you complete the tasks in the following order, starting from the West end of Varrok - and Ending at the East.
Task order:

Pick poison ivy from your bush Farming patch in Varrock - Task1
Requirements: 70 Farming
You need to plant a Poison Ivy seed in your Bush patch in Varrock. (The patch can be found West of the Champions guild - see the Farming guide for more information.) It may be an idea to pay the farmer on duty 15 Coconuts to look after your patch. It will take approximately 2 1/2 hours for your bush to grow fully.

Use the pipe shortcut in Varrock Sewers, near the moss giants - Task2
Requirements: 51 Agility
For this, you have 2 options. Head into the Varrock sewers until you come to the Moss Giant's, from here you will see a pipe in the wall and a shortcut Icon on the Mini-map. OR - you can go though Edgeville dungeon. Head down the dungeon stairs in Edgeville and go as far as Vannaka (Slayer Master) - you will see the shortcut icon on the mini-map.

Trade furs with the Fancy Dress Seller for a spottier cape - Task3
Requirements: 2 Dashing Kebbit Fur, 800gp
You need to get hold of 2 Dashing Kebbit Fur's. For this, you can purchase them from another friend; OR - catch them yourself (69 Hunter). Once you have the fur, go to the Fancy Dress shop and trade the stall owner. Trade your furs for a Spottier Cape.

Smith an Adamantite medium helm on the south-east anvil in Varrock, next to Aubury's Rune Shop - Task4
Requirements: 73 Smithing, Hammer, Adamantite Bar.
Go to the Anvil stated and smith an Adamantite Medium-Helm.

Speak to Orlando Smith when you have achieved 153 kudos - Task5
Requirements: Completed all aspects of Varrock Museum.
If you have earned 153 Kudos, speak to Orlando Smith in the Varrock Museum basement.

Talk to Romily Weaklax and give him a wild pie - Task6
Requirements: 32 Cooking, Chefs Hat/Cooking cape.
Head into the Cooking guild and give Romily Weaklax a wild pie. You can buy a Wild pie, or cook one yourself (85 Cooking).

Craft an air battlestaff - Task7
Requirements: 66 Crafting, Air Orb + Battlestaff.
Craft an Air Battlestaff by attaching an Air orb with a Battlestaff.

Give your player-owned house a fancy stone or tropical wood finish at the Varrock estate agent's - Task8
Requirements: 15-25kgp, 40 Construction.
Head to the Varrock Estate Agents and change your appearance of your house. There are two options.
+Tropical Wood (15k)
+Fancy stone (25k)
It doesn't matter which you choose.

Make a Varrock teleport tablet on a mahogany lectern - Task9
Requirements: 25 Magic, Soft Clay and 1 Law, 3 Fire and one Air.
Go to your POH (Player-owned-house) and make a Varrock teleportation-tablet on a Mahogany lecturn (69 Construction). If you don't have one, then use someone elses Lecturn.

Obtain a new set of Family Crest gauntlets from Dimintheis - Task10
Requirements: Family crest
Talk to Dimintheis and ask for some new gauntlets. Make sure you have destroyed your gauntlets before asking for new ones.

Make a Waka Canoe near Edgeville - Task11
Requirements: 57 Woodcutting, Axe/Hatchet.
Cross the bridge North-East of Edgeville and head South until you find the Canoe station. Cut down the tree there and shape it into a Waka Canoe.

Use the Home Teleport spell in the Ancient Magicks spellbook to teleport to Edgeville - Task12
Requirements: Desert Treasure
Use the 'Home Teleport' option on your Magic spell book menu.

Use the skull sceptre to teleport to Barbarian Village - Task13
If you have a Skull Sceptre, then use it to teleport to the Barbarian Village. If not - then return to the Stronghold of Security and get all 4 Sceptre parts.
