I made a video to show how you can get to the red chinchompa hunting area after you have access to the Gnome Glider and done One Small Favor and I'm revealing my special (level 80+ hunting) trap set-up, but if you're lower then level 80, then place all your traps like I do, except at the top, instead of 2 traps, put 1 trap in between where I put my two traps, set up in my EXACT position to get constant chinchompas.
