This was a guide that Kmjhawk and I planned on doing a few months ago, but never got around to finishing. Well, I've decided that with the extra time I'll have over Summer Break, I'd like to help improve RV as much as possible, so I figured I'd start by rewriting some outdated guides! (And of course I went ahead and finished this one first)

So, yeah, that's about all. I kept the Writer/Editor/Coder/Special Thanks sections and just added mine and Kmj's names.

By: Daonly, Goten, Kmjhawk, and Lord Thief

Edited By: Euph and Tweedy

Coded By: Majik and Fluffzter

Special Thanks To: Uncoollozer, c-erickson, Elanthiel, and ZinyX

Requirements to Enter the Guild: 68 Fishing (65 Fishing with a Fishing Potion/ Fish Pie, 63 with an Admiral Pie, or 62 with a +6 fishing boost from Evil Dave's Stew of DOOM!)

Location: West of Hemenster, north of Ardougne

Image

The fishing guild! Where many of RuneScape's greatest fisherman developed their skills, and to this very day still spend many an hour fishing away, lobbing their harpoons at sharks which swim curiously close to land! Above is a map showing some of the most convenient ways to get to the Fishing Guild!

~ The Entrance ~

Image
Here is arguably the most important area of the Fishing Guild; the entrance! Without the entrance, there would be no way of even getting into the Fishing Guild itself!

Here, you'll find the Master Fisherman - The one who founded the Fishing Guild for other skilled fishermen to improve their luring, caging, and harpooning prowess. He also offers another service; If you yourself are a master fisherman, meaning you've achieved level 99 in the Fishing skill, then you may purchase a Fishing Skill Cape from him for 99,000 gold coins.

Remember, you must have level 68 fishing (or 65 with the use of a fishing potion/ 62 with the use of Evil Dave's Stew and a little luck), or the Master Fisherman will refuse you entry into the Fishing Guild!

~ The Entrance Building ~
Yes, the building that you enter when you first walk into the Fishing Guild. There are two main points of interest within this building.

Image
To your west, you'll find three fishing equipment respawns. Two are on the table, A Big Fishing Net and a Harpoon, and the other one, a Lobster Pot, is on the floor.

Image
To your east, you'll find a nice range for cooking your catch on.

This building also has a ladder to an above room. In the above room, you'll find an Emergency Ladder that will take you out of the Fishing Guild. This is used if you've drank a Fishing Potion to get into the Fishing Guild, but its effects have worn off by the time you wish to leave.

~ The Supply Shop ~

Image
To the North-West of the building you first walk into, you'll find another, larger building. In the Southern part of this building, you'll find a Fishing Supply Shop. This is a shop where you can sell what you catch, buy the catch that other people have sold to the shop, and/or buy Fishing Bait/ Feathers.

Image

The Prices of Items in the Fishing Guild Shop (prices will vary depending on the number of that Item in stock) are:

 • Fishing Supplies

 • Bait: 2 Gold Pieces
 • Feathers: 2 Gold Pieces
 • Raw Fish

 • Cod: 25 Gold Pieces
 • Mackerel: 17 Gold Pieces
 • Bass: 120 Gold Pieces
 • Tuna: 100 Gold Pieces
 • Lobster: 150 Gold Pieces
 • Swordfish: 200 Gold Pieces
 • Cooked Fish

 • Cod: 25 Gold Pieces
 • Mackerel: 17 Gold Pieces
 • Bass: 120 Gold Pieces
 • Tuna: 100 Gold Pieces
 • Lobster: 150 Gold Pieces
 • Swordfish: 200 Gold Pieces

~ The Bank ~

Image
Ah, the bank. Certainly the most useful area within the Fishing Guild, besides the Fishing Spots, of course.

There are two things that make this bank so great. First off, it's right next to the Fishing Docks, which means fast and easy banking of your catch. Second, this bank has a feature that no other normal banks do - You can light fires inside! Why is this so great? Well, you can simply grab some logs and a tinderbox from your bank, light a fire, and cook your catch right there!

~ The Fishing Docks ~

Image
Here it is, the main reason why the Fishing Guild is the Fishing Guild. These docks provide some of the best fishing spots in all of RuneScape. There are two separate docks, though the fishing spots around them are the same, with 11 Fishing Spots total. (Bear in mind that the exact position of these Fishing Spots changes constantly and randomly.)

There are two types of Fishing Spots located by the docks. There's are "Cage/Harpoon" spots (Cage for lobsters, Harpoon for Tuna and Swordfish), and "Net/Harpoon" spots (Net with Big Net for Mackerel, Cod, Bass, Seaweed, Oysters, Leather Boots, Leather Gloves, and Caskets, and Harpoon for Sharks).

~ Non-Player Characters (NPCs) ~
This is a list of all NPCs within the Fishing Guild.
 • Master Fisher: The Master Fisher guards the Entrance to the Fishing Guild, ensuring that only the worthy may enter, and supplying those truly worthy with Fishing Skill Capes.
 • Roachey: Roachey is in charge of the Fishing Guild Shop, and can be found by the Fishing Guild Shop, protecting his Wares.
 • Banker(s): Bankers can be found in the Fishing Guild Bank.
 • Ducks (Level 1): Ducks can be found swimming around the Fishing Guild, trying to avoid the odd kick that the fishing folk may swing at them, annoyed by their incessant quacking.
 • Man (Level 2): One Man respawns on the northern Fishing Dock.
 • Rats (Level 1): These troublesome creatures lurk and creep around the Fishing Guild. They can be found on the Fishing Docks, next to the Bank and trying to pilfer Raw Fish from the Fishing Guild Shop.

~ A Few Friendly Fishing Guild Tips ~

 • Fish at the Fishing Guild, and then take a trip down to the Rouge's Den (located in Burthorpe, under the pub) to cook your catch. There's a bank right next to a fire that never goes out down there, so it's a much better place to cook than anywhere else on RuneScape!
 • Another fast way that you can fish, and then cook your fish, is by making a fire inside the Fishing Guild Bank.
 • If you are 65 Fishing and you want to get into the Fishing Guild, just drink a Fishing Potion right before you go into the Fishing Guild. (This also applies to when you're 3 or less levels lower than what you need to be to catch a certain fish!)
 • If you are 62 Fishing and you want to get into the Fishing Guild, you can try to get a +6 boost using Evil Dave's Stew of DOOM! (Though the chances of getting a +6 boost are very low.)
 • You can also use Admiral pies to boost your fishing level by 5 and Fish pies to boost your fishing level by 3.
 • A Barb-Tailed Harpoon is able to be worn as a weapon, so if you're using a Harpoon Fishing Spot, you can have an extra space for fish by wearing one!
 • Remember to use the nearby Bank!

I'm not, actually. I'd like to offer a correction :P

Quote:
There are three types of Fishing Spots available at the Fishing Guild. There are Harpoon and Lobster Cage Fishing Spots (for Tuna, Swordfish and Lobster), Big Net Fishing Spots (for Mackerel, Cod, Bass, Seaweed, Oysters, Leather Boots, Leather Gloves, and Caskets), and Harpoon Spots strictly for Sharks.

There are two kinds of fishing spots. The "Cage/Harpoon" (Cage for lobsters, Harpoon for tuna and swordfish) and the "Net/Harpoon" (Net with big net for Mackerel, Cod, Bass, Seaweed, Oysters, Leather Boots, Leather Gloves, and Caskets and Cage for Sharks).

To be fair, I copied that part over from the current on-site guide and just added the Big Net catch list. So blame the previous writers. :shifty:

*fixes*

Thanks for that.

You can also use Admiral pies to boost your fishing level by 5 and Fish pies to boost your fishing level by 3.

Other than that, great guide! :P
