Temple of Ikov
Quest Requirements: None
Skill Requirements: 40 Ranging, 42 Thieving, 37 Prayer is Reccomended (for Protect from Magic), Should be able to run past lvl 45's in no armour or food. Must be able to run past lvl 82's. Food may be needed for lower levels. You may have to be able to defeat lvl 45's, and you must be able to defeat a level 84 with ranged.
Item Requirements: Yew or Magic Bow, 20 Limpwurt Roots, a Lit Candle, and something to slash through a web.
Start: Speak to Lucien. He can be found in the bar near the entrance to West Ardougne
1. Talk to Lucien. He will tell you to retrieve an Artifact called the Staff of Armadyl from the Temple of Ikov. He will give you a pendant.
2. All you will need for this part is your lit candle, so take that from the bank. Now go to the temple of Ikov, which can be found just a little south of the Ranging Guild. While you are doing this quest, there are two banks you can use. One in North Ardougne, One in Seer's Village. Also, if you have Level 68 Fishing or higher, you may use the Fishing Guild's Bank.
3. Find the Temple Entrance, and go down the ladder.
Go straight west from the entrance, and go down the staircase. Here is where you need your candle. Walk across the room and slash through the web. Pick up the Boots of Lightness. These boots reduce your weight by 5 kilograms!
4. Return to a bank, and deposit every thing except for your Boots of Lightness and the Pendant of Lucien. Bring absoulutely nothing else. Go back to the Temple.
From the entrance, make sure you are wearing the boots of lightness, and take the northren gate. Run past the Lvl 45 Skeletons, and across the bridge. You MUST be wearing the boots to cross the bridge. Open the door, and turn left and pick up the Lever.
Cross back over the bridge, and head North till you find a Lever. Search it for traps, and you will disable a trap on it. Pull the lever.
5. Return to a bank, and pick up your Ranging Gear. You must have a Yew or Magic bow. You do not need to bring arrows. Do not deposit the lever. Return to the Temple.
When you first come down, you should see a Lever Bracket. Place the Lever in the Bracket, by using the Lever with the Bracket.
Pull the lever. This time, take the south gate and follow the path. Run past the Lvl 61 Ice Spiders, untill you find some alcoves with chests. Open each chest and search. If you find nothing, move on to the next chest. Eventually you will find some Ice Arrows. If you are a lower ranged level, around 40, get about 40 arrows. If you are a much higher level, get less arrows, but not too little. Each time you find the arrows, they will switch chest, so keep switching. There are about six different chests.
The Ice Spiders may do some damage if you are low level, so you may want to bring food. You also may want to use Protect from Melee, but keep your prayer for later.
6. Once you have your Ice Arrows, return to the entrance room. Now go back through the northren gate, back through the swarm of Skeletons, and take the turn till you come to an area with broken arrows. Wield your Yew/Magic Bow and Ice Arrows, and prepare yourself. This is where you use Protect from Magic.
7. Pass through the door, and go across the room and open the next door. The Fire Warrior of Lesarkus will appear (Lvl 84). Turn on Protect From Magic and attack him and kill him with your Ice Arrows. Once he dies, you can now pass through the door. But first...
8. Return to a bank and withdraw your 20 Limpwurt Roots. Return to where you killed the Fire Warrior, and pass through the door (nothing will stop you this time). Proceed to the lava. There you will find Winelda, a witch. Speak with her to give her the limpwurt roots. She will teleport you across the lava.
9. Once across, run past the Skeletons (note the ladder you pass, as well as the wall you can push), and keep following the path past the Lesser Demons (Lvl 82) untill you reach the Shiny Key. Pick it up and return to the wall you saw earlier. Push it, and continue into the next room.
Now you must choose how you are going to finish the quest. On the Guardian's Side, or Luciens Side.
Lucien's Side
1. Either Telekenic Grab the Staff of Armadyl, or pick it up. To pick it up normally, you must kill all the Guardians (Lvl 43 and 45) in the room. Once you obtain the staff, exit through the wall and head to the ladder you passed earlier. Climb it and use the Shiny Key on the exit.
2. Head to the Forest North of Varrok, and look for a house (South of the Spirit Tree). Enter it, and speak with Lucien. You will give him the staff. Congradulations! Quest Complete!
Guardian's Side
1. Remove the Pendant of Lucien, and Speak with a Guardian. Ask them who they are, then who the Maharajat are, and when they mention Lucien, continue that topic and say that it is time for your bath. The Guardian will splash Holy Water on you. Now agree to help them defeat Lucien. They will give you a Pendant, simaler to Lucien's, but different.
2. Exit through the wall, and return to the ladder you saw earlier. Climb it, and use the Shiny Key on the door. Now, head to the Forest North of Varrok. South of the Spirit Tree, there will be a house. Enter it, wear the Pendant of Armadyl, and attack Lucien (Lvl 14) and kill him. Congradulations! Quest Complete!
Rewards: 1 QP, 10,500 Ranging Exp, 8000 Fletching Exp, Pendant of Lucien/Armadyl
