But I actually completely agree with you. I'm just not sure how to capture a "village community" theme with integrated "gamer" themes - Adding in actual elements from games like Minecraft/RuneScape/WoW/etc would just make it seem like some cross-over fanfic gone horribly wrong.

I don't really think it needs to encompass the idea of the general gaming, honestly. We just need something that emphasizes the village feel and the fact we're community driven. In the end, people aren't going to stay because we have a banner that says what they want. The banner just becomes more or less a symbol of the community and recognizable by visitors.

Aiming the banner towards a particular game would just force us to update it later if we drop support or pickup support for other games. It's safer to just focus on our current theme - that way we only have to update if we get rid of the village/medieval theme we've had going. Which I don't see as likely.

I dunno, it's just as hard for me to figure something out.

I'm gonna hold off on drawing the banner until some more ideas get thrown around - Rather than throwing something together myself and having RV be stuck with it, I'd like to hear some more suggestions on what should be incorporated.

How about a country pub scene ?

Stonework and an open fire.

Bar serving tankards of ale.

Pool table.

Some old bloke with a beard sat in a booth on use own doing a crossword with about an inch of his pint left.

i think keeping the Rv theme is important, so i agree with faz saying like a pub scene etc. but i think rather than crossword they should be playing like a wooden xbox and a stone PC (like you know how in the flinstones they had modern stuff just made stoneage etc.) as we want people to know whats going on and that were not boring as hell.
