Sadly enough the version we're on is more or less one week old. Everything that got changed/added/removed is back to what it used to be.

At http://72.36.192.235/ you can still see our old server. I'll reopen the board there so you lot can see there as well. Don't bother to post there though because that server will be removed from the net once this is over.

The thing is: these posts are in the way of the old posts now. They all have an identification number which must be unique.

Changing that wouldn't be so hard, but you also have to link it to a topic. Those topic id's also have to get changed. There are a bunch of additional tables that need changing as well, ending up in a nightmare.

I'm not sure what will happen with it all though. It's very possible this'll be what we'll have to learn to live with.

EDIT: I'm now trying to get our old posts back and will get rid of all new ones. Please be patient and understanding. I'm doing all I can and if anybody complains to me about it, you may as well get a slap in the face from me instead

I think I have successfully added back the old posts and topics. I haven't changed back all profile information, but you can still find it back on the link I posted before.

I'm sorry for the whole issue, but there's nothing I could've done to prevent it.

How come my post count isn't back? am I missing posts?

You're not missing posts, but the counter got stuck to the number it was as of the 5th of August.

Anybody who really wants to have their post count back may contact me or a Forum Administrator and we should be able to look it up again and update your postcount. Please note that if you made any posts before that (like these), they won't be in your post count any more. And no, we won't just add 5 or 10 to it. We will only change it to the number we can see on the old forum.

EDIT: oh, and as to the reason why I can't correct that: it would require me to download all you guys profiles (14MB, that's not the issue) and I can't even start thinking of what would happen if that would go wrong.

Gamestar, you can still access the old server through FTP as well, just use 72.36.192.235 instead of runevillage.com

I'll re-upload your whole folder as well by the way (I took some precautions by downloading vital parts of the website)
