Posts per page can be whatever, but it must be consistent across all users. Topics per page can be whatever.

20 is way better than 15. I'd like to have more per page honestly. I want to be able to crank it up to 30 :(

Uh, why?

On another note, we should totally add the ability to multi-quote 8-[

You read through the thread and just click on each one you want to quote as you go without having to enter the 'reply' interface.

That, or add a link to where a quoted post was originally made.

:D

You can do that, although not in the way you're referring to.
It can be done via full editor, then go down to the topic review. You click quote for whatever you want to quote.

Oh wow, I didn't know that feature existed in phpBB :o

Oh, cool. It was more me trying to work out what's bad about having people on different pages. Unless the only reason is something silly like saying "Hey check out this on page 5" won't work any more, when the person could just quote the post :?:

People don't say that too often. It's usually only "look at the post above", which we'll also understand should that post have moved to the previous page...

Either way, linking to posts or quoting them is usually the easiest for everybody, so I don't think this is an issue.

Greetings,
Glodenox

Hmm... I just found a modification that is quite well written and as such doesn't even require any edits but only the upload of one file which hooks into the system. It is less advanced than the other mod I was looking at, but it should do as well. Do note that the option would then be located where you can set your custom title (and not in the display options as you might expect).

But with that mod, I wouldn't be in any problems at all. So if you voted differently just for that reason, I'd like to thank you, but feel free to change your vote should this change your mind :)

Greetings,
Glodenox

So to clarify, this won't have any effect on the time it takes to upgrade PHB? If so, I'll vote pro-choice.

That'd be great.

It shouldn't have any effect on the time I need to upgrade phpBB, no. It's a separate file for which I don't need to make any changes to the current files, so unless that basic system would be changed I won't need to change a thing.

Greetings,
Glodenox

Due to the convincing results, I've applied the modification.

You can now configure these settings in your User Control Panel in the Profile page. If the fields are empty, the default setting will be used, otherwise your personal setting is applied. The numbers used have to be at least 5 and at most 255.

Because that location is a bit odd to set those values, I'll look into changing around some code so they are located in the board preferences instead (which should be much more logical). Don't expect that any time soon though.

Greetings,
Glodenox

Just noticed something, the "Topics per page" option also affects how many members are shown per page in the members list. :^_^:

Hmm, that's quite unintentional, but I don't think that should cause any problems...
