That and reinstall the beep system. Our old chat owned IRC primarily because if I was sorting other stuff in my room, I could tell when people wanted me.

24 hour timestamps to the left of the name is best, it stays aligned and is easy to read.

IMO, after using it a bit more, the positives:
+ Great PM system (such as what happens when minimizing a PM)
+ Good level of customization (including detachable user list)
+ Nice new emoticons

The negatives which need to be fixed when possible:
- It keeps telling me 'undefined' instead of showing notifications (e.g. someone logging in)
- Really stupid censor which makes Ead cry (bring back the bunny!)
- Lack of certain old emoticons (unless you bring back the entire old set it'll look silly because they won't fit with the new ones)

Negatives which I can live with:
- Lags a little
- Constant loading messages at the bottom are irritating
- Lack of timestamp

Anyone agree or disagree?

I have cookies enabled and working but my chat settings don't stick.. They just reset whenever I come back

Like the new chat, right now I just miss a few of the old smilies and meepbot (I think we should be able to use both the old smilies and the new ones, with the new ones being the default ones. They look nicer than a lot of the PhpBB ones, but I miss and and and stof D:

I certainly can't live without timestamp. :(

It is a bit laggier than the old RV Chat, but it isn't a dealbreaker. The lack of :-s is making me cry though.

What loading messages, I didn't see any?

Also, I don't seem to be getting messages when people are joining or leaving the Chat. Is there some setting I missed? [i]Edit: I just needed to re-login[/i]

Great job on the new chat though Henner et al! Although I am pining ever so slightly for my old background, I'm sure I'll get used to the new background quickly.

Just as a reminder seeing as so many people care so much, the smilies WILL be back, it's just on the bottom of the to do list
