Hello villagers!

That's right, we're being offered a fourth interview with Jagex! We've already interviewed Mod Mark about RuneScape and his job, Mod Chris L about the Within The Light quest, and the ICU Team on account security. Now we're being offered a chance to interview the CM (Community Management) Team about the next RuneScape Machinima Contest. If you have any questions for the CM Team about their work, the upcoming competition, or Jagex's overall community competition strategies, then now is the time to ask!

In case you're wondering, the CM Team is a group of Jagex workers whose primary focus is community management (hence the name). Duties of the CM Team includes being in charge of forum and player mods, supporting fansites/communities/clans, and reading player suggestions.

What are the primary aspects the videos are judged upon?

Lifetime membership is a great reward. Exactly how long is a lifetime membership? Will the character receive membership FOREVER?

Do you plan the video competition to be an ongoing event? Will the rewards remain the same? Will there be a theme from now on as well?

May think of more. Jagex really is outdoing themselves with the communication with fansites. Kudos to them, for sure.

Do you feel the machinima competition could be used to "head hunt" future staff members for in-game cinematics?

Have you been suprised by the talent that is out there in the Runescape Community?

well, they're job is Runescape, so they aren't missing work by watching videos. and the videos are 30 seconds long, so it can't that THAT long to watch them all. probably a couple of days spread over.

My question was if they had a team big enough to watch the videos on their own or do they ask people from say the development team to come over and help sort through them. I understand that their job is runescape but that doesn't mean when the development team has a big project that they make all the other areas stop work and run over to help them. Also there CAN be millions of videos submitted if every character had a video posted which is the angle my question was comming from.

How did the idea of having a Machinima contest form?

Can you give some examples of which work the Community Management Team performs?

How many people are currently active within the Community Management team? Do you guys also have a team logo?

Is looking after the Player Moderators a tough job? Do you enjoy this aspect of Community Management? Most importantly, does Mod Poppy enjoy being the "boss"?

- Events -

How often do you attend in-game events? What are your favourite ingame events? When you do, do you ever have a bit of fun with the Mod Powers to perhaps achieve victory?

- Suggestions -

There is often a lot of suggestions posted on the RS forums, how common is it come across one that really stands out and is a possible candidate for becoming a basis of a future update. When this happens, or if this happens, is there any contact/appraisal for the original idea the update is based on? Has this actually happened before?

- High level Player Support

Which one of you thought of the message a maxed player see when he attempts to use the objective system? What does the role of looking after High leveled players require? Parties, new content suggestions?

- Content Liaison -

Does your Runescape Content Liaison 'Officer' often find it difficult to make posts on the forum, particularly the Futurue Updates forum, without leaking any information about future content? What is their favourite part of this particular role?

Is Mod Emilee really a monkey?
Does Mod Poppy ever spread Pink Propaganda around the office?
Who, in your opinion, is the most interesting member of the of the CM team?

As i'm sure you're aware, you can use the orb of oculus to see into the area behind the frozen door in the God Wars dungeon from both the Saradomin and Armadyl boss areas.
