What if we could have a custom layout on our profile?

Note: If anyone has thought of a Layout for there profile I give them credit!

Or just something like a picture background to decorate your profile with, since RV has this background everywhere.

I doubt this would work as it would be needlessly using up server space for little use.

However there are many other sites that are based around a custom profile, you are allowed to link to them in your signature as long as they don't have inappropiate content.

It'd be spiffy, yes. But there's a bunch of other mods that are actually important that are yet to be instated, so the chances of this happening in our lifetime is very low.

I think it's a good idea too. As Sarah said I don't think we have enough server space, but we'll see what an Admin has to say about it.

Zybez has a brilliant profile page, I'm not exactly sure if you can customize it that much, but you can customize it a fair deal. It looks great too, and has some pretty neat features.

I do wish we had more options for our profiles, or at least a little more
depth to how much we can have. Right now I imagine we've got smaller
profile allowances than an old 90's BBS. With where things stand atm
55k being about enough for a somewhat detailed grayscale image and
a somewhat decent avatar. Or you can go the text route...woo

So yea, again I'd like to see more ability to do things with it.
I just don't know what is all allowable at max or how much
effort it would take to implement all this.

hmmm....it will be nice if we can put pics, songs, videos etc. on our profile page but however will take up seriously huge server resources unless people are willing to chip in to help runevillage upgrade to a better server and the monthly fees incurred....

i do hope that a few months down the road after i got my debit card i will make a reasonable donation amount runevillage but now since i do not have any cards, all i can do is to help click google ads on the site that interest me to help runevillage funds

I certainly like the idea, Katey, but I think it'd be tough finding the proper modifications or programming to do this all. Our profiles would become like myspace, if I am understanding correctly, which would be unique.

At this time, however, there are a lot of other modifications and projects that have higher priority, so I think it will be quite a while when this idea is accepted and done with.
