There's a bit more behind the scenes that you don't see, Nate. It's a very, very, very rare day when a ban isn't discussed thoroughly by the Administrators and Moderators. No matter who the user is, and his/her importance, there's never an empty topic stating that he/she is banned.

Each case is handled differently, and there's always many variables influencing a ban.

At this point, the topic isn't really constructive criticism anymore, it's plainly complaining and ranting. Two Administrators have partook in the discussion, so it's safe to say that this has been discussed more than enough. So, if you have any further problems with how a situation is handled, or with a particular Moderator, I'd advise that you PM an Administrator about it, instead of posting another topic.

Nate, that is not true. When people admit to breaking rs rules, there will definitely be a punishment, ranging from warnings to a ban. However, you don't see the warnings being added.

And it is about being able to prove it as well. When someone claims that someone else autoes for example, can we ban him on that word alone? Most obviously, the answer is no, but the whole of runevillage will know "omg, he autoed and didn't got banned for it."

Oh, and sorry for posting through the lock, Donut. When I started typing my post, there was no padlock on this topic yet

S'alright. ;) ~Donut
