I don't think the new forum should be exclusive to Web Development, generally I've noticed the people who are into scripting and programming have been posting there and I feel it'd be good to include all kinds of programming into the forum.. Since Tech Discussion is really aimed at Software faults, virus/spyware removal help, actually building PCs and the like.

It's not a necessary change but I, and I'm sure other programmers too would like to include non-web based languages into the forum, so when looking for threads related to coding it's ten times easier and you don't have to trawl through the other types of tech discussion to find one ;)

I don't think a change is really necessary. You won't get shot if you make a thread about a non-web page language, so go ahead.

Aye but it'd cause confusion since the real place for other languages atm is Tech discussion.

Good idea Matt, it makes sense.

Not a huge drastic change that needs to be implemented straight away mind, but it would do no harm.

TBH, I think it should be a usergroup, but there's my 2 cents.

I still don't think change is necessary, you have TE and TD to discuss other languages. Plus, web developers dungeon has a ring to it :)
