Yeah i kinda of pondered that thought. Should we make a youtube video(s) for fun or to show who we are? just for thought. could be just a fun little thing to do on spare time.

Well I've casted my vote, but I don't think I can contribute the time for casting myself a role in one of your videos.

But I'd like to see a Video of high quality, represent RV. From the RV staff coming into the RS world wit their lab coats ready to take down data from their experiments, to the RVA roaming around the RS world embroidering the RV slogan "Runevillage is 'cool adjective'!" via chat text.

You mean like a vid showing posts and activity in the chatroom and stuff? I guess that could be used as a kind of promotional thing, but it seems unusual.

Mainly just make a video for fun via comedy to entertain each other or in a way "recuit" people into join RV and RVA in a way.

Has anyone seen that Gmail video where thousands of people submitted their ideas on how messages are passed on from one to another? Then they combined the best ones together as though that single message was traveling around the world? That would be another pretty interesting idea.

Let's see what other people come up with.

A video advertising RV by showing as many of our members in the game as possible...

As for the actual video - I voted for humour. It shouldn't take itself too seriously because it'd need to be something people would watch for fun. Preferably it'll highlight our community (forums + Chat), as well as our main site and the activities we do in-game.

If this happens, i have hypercam 2 that we could use to record. just one tiny problem. i use movie maker to "edit" things but to save it as a valid file type for YouTube, thats the problem. The only file type there is is a .MMSVS or something like that. whats the deal?

P.S theres also a program called Camatias or something with its own editing thing. should i try that?

It's called Camtasia, and it's only a one-month trial IIRC.

I think "scientific" data videos would be good - see *just* which hunter animal is the best one to hunt in practice, whether or not kebabs are the best food for the hp-to-gp ratio, etc.

I have a full version Camtasia if needed.

You'd definitely want to use Camtasia... Hypercam has that ugly "unregistered" tag that would make the video appear unprofessional.

The tag doesn't bother me that much, Just expand the height and it'll go over something unnecessary.

Nonetheless, it is quite unnecessary. And with Camtasia there would be no need to crop any height off, so I'd go with Camtasia as well.
