6. Make sure you have your Ice Gloves on. If you do not, Fareed's heat will make you drop your Weapon. He uses Melee and Fire Magic. Go through the Gate again and use Ice Arrows or Water Magic Spells on him, which are very effective. Upon defeating him the Smoke Diamond mysteriously appears in your Inventory.

Going through the gate to Mage/range him so he can't reach you with his attacks does not work anymore. I did the quest a few months ago, I don't exactly remember what happens if you walk through the gate again, but I remember that it didn't work and I had to mage him face to face using protect from meele.

The guy you get the Ring of visibility from has gotten a name change. He's name is Rasolo now, not Rasool.

In the Slayer skill guide it says that the Dark beast uses Meele attacks. I'm pretty sure that if the Dark beasts attacks you and you get out of his meele range he will use magic attacks on you. And the picture of the Dark beast is out dated.

I'm currently doing the Desert Treasure Quest myself. I'll try to verify and correct the information when I get there during the quest :)

Okay, and check if the safe spots for Damis still work, because I don't think they did.

That quest guide is really outdated. When I wrote it, it was on the first day of release. By now, they've changed like 50 things in the quest so a lot of things that have helped me complete the quest are no longer there or have changed in some way. The best possible solution for this is completely redoing the guide.

So far I haven't really come across big changes... But I haven't really done anything more than prepared for getting the Blood Diamond...

Yep, quite a few things that should be rewritten. I'm on it :)
Just got myself the Blood Diamond and Ice Diamond.

Dessous (of the Blood Diamond) teleports towards you no matter where you stand, what you have as weapon or which prayer you use it seems...

And it seemed to be easier to come closer to Kamil with "protect from magic" and try to stand right in front of him and use "protect from melee" if you are wearing dragonhide armour. Otherwise "protect from magic" is still the best option.

I'll be making these changes when I've completed the quest.

Ooh, interesting information :) I tried to get him locked up, but he goes through monsters and there are no more safe spots to attack him. But that is indeed a good solution :) I'll add it once I change the guide.
