Hmm, could it be that they've been put in your spam folder? I just tried the mailing system of the forum and it seems to work just fine. I assume though that in the event of such a big PM being sent out, there's just too many notifications to be sent - resulting in people not getting any mails.

As for the request whether there is extra news available: not yet, no.

Someone tried to log into my rs account yesterday, but my passwords aren't the same, that person then tried to recover the password, but obviously that email was sent to my inbox... Not sure if it's related, but it did happen :P

Jordon - The PHPBB board system has a very complex method of using per-user salts (randomly generated) and multiple layers of md5 applications, from what I've seen.

The likelihood of anything coming of this attack in relation to RV accounts is relatively low, unless users have really easy passwords. This situation was discussed awhile back, prior to this, in this topic when attacks on accounts were expected.

Edit: I would assume the only useful information to be harvested would be email addresses (they tend to be linked to other sites - a means of gathering your passwords if they hack into it) and perhaps your RuneScape username (if they were targeting RS users), if you had it set. Email passwords should never match any site you've registered on - ever. Further, you should optimize RuneScape's display name feature which allows you to login from a different username than you publicly display.
