So apparently this is a topic. I hadn't noticed until today.
Anyway, I've been working on a new MeepBot, and I have a working prototype with a Lua scripting backend. I'm not meaning to step on anyone here, but I've put too much work into it to just dump it now. It connects to the server, loads scripts to handle commands, and can reload those scripts without leaving the chat room.
Here's the source code, as usual:
http://vyhd.homelinux.org:8080/code/RVC ... Bot-r0.zipNot visibly licensed yet (planning on GPLv2/v3), not fully working, and I'm not even pretending to support its build process just yet, but it's out there and I'm working on SQLite integration to handle people and accounts.
As for meepster, we're pretty good friends and he's been pretty supportive of my work with his chat client/server stuff, so I'm pretty sure he won't mind me using the name, especially when it's up to snuff. I'll ask next time I get a chance, though.
