Welcome to Mafia: The Game (because I don't know what number it would be otherwise. ) Please take 60 extra seconds to re-read the rules, as I've updated one or two things that you should all probably be aware of.

Rules you are used to:

• Unless you are Mafia, discussing the game outside of the game is strictly forbidden.
• I will follow the same phase lengths as a typical UPick game, meaning that there’s usually no limit, but if things start taking too long, I’ll assign one.
• Using evidence from outside of the game is strictly forbidden. This includes quoting private messages from the host, or showing a screenshot of any message. This also includes making bets, such as, “I bet you I'm innocent, or I'll do something embarrassing”.
• Editing posts is strictly forbidden. Double, triple, quadruple post if necessary.
• All voting must be done in bold font, and no text should be in bold font besides votes.
• Helping remaining players after death is strictly forbidden (this includes your ODP).

Rules updated for this game:

• Posting in the topic after death is strictly forbidden. Because of some of the roles’ abilities, please do not even make an “ODP”. Collaborating with other dead players after death is discouraged. Until after this game is over, treat talking about it outside as if you are still alive in the game (and not allowed to talk about it).

Information about the roles:
I figured I would give you guys some information about the nature of all of the roles, because obviously, the Mafia members might want to make something up sometime.

• For the sake of this game, you all have a gender: There are 6 male and 6 female players.
• Your alignment (Villager/Mafia) is the same as your character’s (good/evil).
• Almost all of the characters are NOT the main protagonist, and couple that are, aren’t super popular (like Mario or Link.)
• Everyone has some sort of ability.

Once upon a time, fourteen peaceful Villagers shared a land overflowing with apples, peaches, bugs, fish, and Tom Nook's wares. There was an ocean, a town square, and all of the other amenities a small Village could offer. However, one day, the peace and propserity the Village shared was shattered when the evil Ganondorf declared himself leader and went around chopping down all of the trees. He proceeded to go on a terrible rampage, burning down the Police Station, General Store, and Bank. Before he could begin committing arson on the other Villagers' houses, the noble hero Link chased him down and slayed him, putting an end to Ganondorf's tyrannical rule. Everyone went to bed, breathing a sigh of relief.

The next morning, as the Villagers gathered around to decide how to rebuild their town, they were surprised to find that Link was not there. Upon investigating his house, they were shocked to see that he had been killed in his sleep! A note left on his bed explained everything: As it turned out, a small group of renegades from inside the Village decided that they wanted to follow in Ganondorf's footsteps, ruling the world and squashing anyone who stood in their way. They decided that the best way to do this would be to silently and secretly turn the Village on itself, killing everyone until only their evil faction (dubbed "The Mafia") remained.

Each Villager, now fearing for his or her life, gathered in the Town Square to begin debating who should be convicted of being a Mafia member, and lynched. The sun had barely risen, but things were already very heated.
