Yeah. I'll be blunt.

Anyone that's played Chatroom Mafia with me might know that I enjoy hosting Mafia games a lot more than I enjoying playing them. A few weeks ago I suddenly got the idea of a Mafia game that would be similar to UPick of scope and play style (everyone has SOME sort of ability) but used a set list of relatively minor characters from video games instead of my choosing. (For instance I've thought up 5 already and only 1 of them is the game's protagonist, and really I could change that quite easily and might do so.) I thought it could be fun to watch it all play out, and also remembered the olden days of doing something similar in RVChat, which seemed pretty cool at the time.

I was going to wait until Majora's Mask Mafia was done because I really hate having more than one Mafia game going on at once, but it's pretty clear that's going awfully slow. The problem is that even right now, it's a Day phase and has been for over four days now, so I fear the interest is gone. That's why I'm making this thread.

If you think this is a fun idea and you'd like to participate, feel free to post and/or sign your name to be included in the game; I would much appreciate it. If you think you're going to lose interest around Day 3, please don't join. In my opinion, replacing people that decided to drop out ruins the continuity of the game, meaning that around Day 4 you suddenly have zero to go off of with regards to that new person--so I may disallow "replacement players" entirely.

Nevertheless, I'm pretty excited about what this could turn out to be, just rather worried about the activity of Mafia games on RV to see if another can even be played. I know people were still wanting UPick, though, so I think this can be similar. I can promise you I'll be active and check/update the thread every day, so I'm basically asking the same of you.

(Disclaimer: I'm obviously trying to avoid spoilers of any kind, but one of the 5 roles I've come up with has a special ability that might be classified as a rather minor spoiler. I can't tell you what it is or what game it's from as that would compromise this Mafia game, but I just wanted to say that risk is out there. (Probably no more so than the abilities of the roles in UPick, though, I guess, come to think of it.))

Thoughts?

Sounds fun. No offense to Top, but it'll be nice to have someone else host once in a while.

Awesome, six people already, thanks! :D This should be pretty neat. I hope we can get some more (provided they all stay active! I was serious about the "no replacements" thing.)

You have to use a font that stands out more from the background and drop the stupid format, though.

Would rather have DC1 than people who complain about it constantly, tbh.

Yeah, I won't be making a rule against his text, and I strongly urge you not to vote for him in Mafia solely because of it.

Despite that, I really hope you two still plan to play. :D I'm hoping we can get like 10-12 people to join (have 8 right now) though I don't want to stretch it thin and try to get people that might drop out later. We'll see how it goes!
