I remember one of the big problems was trying to adjudicate between multiple sets of physics. Maybe we should make a Battlefield with characters limited to a specific genre or type of media?

If someone is willing to host one I'm totally up. The only reason I haven't hosted one myself is that I want to participate and lack of other people interested.

I remember having an idea to improve battlefield: Instead of posting their character's abilities publicly in the topic, players instead PM them to the host, allowing for better strategies and the like.

True, but with the kind of characters we usually see, their abilities are mostly public knowledge, anyway (though I bet I could find some really obscure character if I wanted).

Also, there's the fact that obviously your abilities have to be somewhat limited. I played as Squall from FF8 for one BF, and of course I had to limit my renzokuken/GF use.

I agree with Top, it's been too long since the last battlefield. Ideally, I'd like to play but I wouldn't have a problem hosting if there were enough players.

Yeah after posting that I pretty much thought "well anyone else who's involved in Tread the Path would prolly join..."

Kinda warming up to the idea of hosting but if anyone else wants to like really bad, they can feel free. Otherwise, I'll make a topic and call it BATTLEFIELD ZERO.

Any real rules I need to hash out other than the three day rule, no manipulating characters, balance your power (TAHU ), etc

Come on, why am i being singled out for everything? That whole armor thing doesn't matter, anyway; it was from a custom character thing where I was specifically forbidden from using my most developed (read: only real developed) character for no real reason.
EDIT: Are Bionicle characters still banned? I know they tended to be overpowered, but looking at some manga (Bleach is a good example), they really don't seem that powerful any more.

You have the greatest history of overpowered characters or failing to recognize death. (See: Custom battlefield's You vs Znath, Boba Fett vs Itachi, off the top of my head.)

I've no qualms against Bionicle characters, though.

I would actually be interested in participating in the next battlefield. I know, I have a record of joining an RP and not really participating for long, but I could always be killed off early if that's the case?

Can we Create our own character from scratch? AS long as you provide Detailed descriptions of their background, HIstory and skills?

Well, for the most part their abilities are as spelled out in the stories; Toa have control over one element and have a mask that gives them a certain power. The only thing not well defined is that they're actually made of metal (in-universe), so how soft that metal is has to be determined. Most also wear protodermis armor, which is the same stuff their masks and weapons are made from, and is a lot tougher than their "base metal." I'm thinking the base metal might be somewhat comparable to the hierro of Bleach's Espada in some ways.
