Ouch! The rollback kind of decimated my Jimmy topic from top to bottom, so I've come to make a poll on it. :P I've gone through the Google caches and tried to get as much of it back as I can, but there's a big segment missing (about 180 posts of the 560 or so, straight from the middle.) So we've got a couple of options, and I'd like you guys to pick one in the poll. After a couple of days I'll completely delete the topic and restart Jimmy with whatever decision is made.

Keep in mind that all pictures and animations are stored on my computer. We won't lose any of the actual storyline, because I'll just repost the pictures myself.

Option 1: "With as many original posts as can be found"
I was able to gather a lot of posts, albeit not nearly all (and there's quite a few missing.) These include everyone's posts, from the talking about which Minesweeper boxes to click to the discussion about the whether to ask Cassandra out, and even all the commands people submitted that didn't make it into the story for one reason or another. This would entail me making each post individually, then going back and changing the Poster of each post to match the name of the original poster.

Option 2: "Preserve the storyline - Jaron's posts only"
Most of my posts were saved (except for, y'know, the ones in that 180-post gap.) I'd repost them, noting the date they occurred. The pro of this method is that we'd get started again quicker, since I only have to post a jumble out of the 560 or so (and changing posters' names takes quite a while, especially for so many.) The con of this is that everything else would be lost (but as long as you guys are willing to keep playing, we can make up for that.)

Aw, that thread was indeed lost in the sands of time. :( Weren't the first 10 pages originally in the Legends forums?

I'm all for option 2, starting quicker would be nice. I remember most of the story and I believe we last left off with the stranger in the village with a pickaxe store.

If they're your posts, you've also (somewhat) quoted the people who gave you the actions to perform. If nothing else, you've at least got the actual actions you're doing without the poster's identity.

I say, preserve the story.

I feel like I have just lost a year's worth of my life... oh wait, I did. >_> My E-Life anyway. Preserve the story. The quicker we can get this thing rolling, the better. With so many RPs lost we cannot afford to waste any time with recovering the other posts.

Part of the fun of "The Adventures of Jimmy" up until this point not only is how Jaron has taken our suggestions, but how we've suggested oddities, had those discussions as what to do, and everything fun that just takes place in the thread.

If I may I'd request to take a hidden 3rd option. Essentially what the plan would be is to restart the thread with chapter two in here and continue with the game. All of chapter one would be severed from the thread here and put in it's own thread (or however you silly forum mods like to do this) in the village archive for all of us to regale on.

[edit]Such a plan I'd think at least would be executable in a timely manner. It's not the most imperative to get the chapter 1 posts for the archives so we could focus on simply continuing the story line, and then as free time becomes available the return of chapter 1 to the village would be alloted.[/edit]

I'd also like to announce my return to the Jimmy world. I don't recall exactly why I boycotted it in the first place, so I've wondered back into the fistiana of Jimmy.

We have enough troubles the way it is, and you making 400 posts and individually labeling them with the poster's name, is just a hassle and time consuming. Go with the story line, we'll pick up from there.

Yeah, get Chapter 2 up, like, now. As in stop reading this and do it type now. Chapter 1 can wait for a bit.
