Delon heard what seemed like distant laughter, and woke up. "...Hm? How did I-" Delon lost his balance and began to fall, when his heightened senses kicked in. He quickly drew both of his blades and drove them deep into the trunk of the tree, and pushed hard against it with his feet, slowing to a stop after a few feet.

"Had I been anyone else, you could have hurt me!" Delon yelled to the laughing giant. He eyed how much further he had to the ground and jumped, landing in a roll. "And you went along with it Caston! To think, I assumed you were simple farm boy!" he finished with a smirk.

Caston watched as Delon woke, nearly fell, but then saved himself the humiliation. He teased Caston, saying he had thought he was a simple farmboy.

"Much to the contrary, my agile friend. Now, we're all awake," Caston snapped his book shut, "so let's gather our things and head off." He left the treeline and went back to camp, packing his bedroll and book back into his knapsack. He kicked dirt onto the fire so that it wouldn't spread and start a forest blaze. He was soon ready to go.

The giant grabbed the freshly skinned deer pelt, and put it into his pack along with his skinning knife, flint and steel. He stood next to Caston, ready for the trek.

"Have you packed the rest of that meat?" Caston asked the giant, assuming that he had. You could never be too sure.

The giant patted his belly with a huge smile on his face and nodded. He hadn't felt this happy and normal in a long time.

The giant let out a loud burp, and some birds in a nearby tree flew away frightened. He shook his head no.

Delon stretched, brushed dirt off of his already brown suit, and wiped the bark and other sticky tree bits off of his two daggers. "Well," he began, "that was definitely one of the more interesting ways I've been woken up." He slid his daggers back into his sash and walked up to meet the giant and Caston, where they were apparently conversing over the meat.

Caston shook his head in disbelief.

"I suppose, you caught it you eat it." He said, waiting for Delon to make his way over.

"So, what's all this commotion about then?" Delon looked at what seemed to be blood stains on the front of the giants "shirt".

Dusk's sleep-trance was broken; he had been having a "dream" of the party's actions, supplemented by his focus and contact with his orb. Now, however, his page had returned. "Yes?"

"The Or'cara are ready and wait at wood's edge. Your orders?"

To wait, or to seek the party out? It mattered little, as the journey was short. "Have the Or'cara wait an hour before beginning their hunt. And, one favor. The giant has no name... We know now of Caston and Delon, but the great one? I feel my opinion in the matter may be welcome. Have the Or'cara call each of their names, referring to the giant as 'Gigas' before their strike."

Whether the idea would be adopted or no, it was at least an effort. Divide and conquer would certainly be an option in the future, but who was Dusk to not attempt a helping hand while trying to kill his potential enemies?

Goten is dead!

Delon made his way to the group.

"Shall we, then?" Caston asked, and the three set off. They walked for a time, when Caston saw something in the far distance. It looked like a group of people marching towards them. The terrain around the road was flat, they could be miles away still.

Could Dusk really have access to an army? No. That's preposterous.

Caston turned to Delon. "Do you see that?"

"Unless we're both halluceinating, yes, I see that. It's probably just some militia group doing a drill. I'll keep an eye on them, though..." As Delon finished talking to caston, he lowered his trunk and sprinted towards the distant group at an alarming speed. Within minutes, he was halfway there and decided to hide in some bushes and scout the group out.

The Giant could tell this was no small group marching towards them due to the dust being kicked up. He pointed towards Caston and then towards the group. He sprinted up the road with huge strides, covering large amounts of ground with each step. He continued a great ways past Delon's hiding spot, and veered into the woods just before he was able to be seen by the approaching force. He went deep into the woods before continuing on the same line as the road. He could hear the army marching by him as he continued to run past them through the woods. He then crept towards the road so he could barely see the passing army through the trees. Now, to wait. He sat there waiting for the army to pass in his camo. A small smile started to come across his face as he grabbed both his axes off his pack. The fire in his eyes started to burn brighter with each passing orc. Soon, his rage would be uncontrollable, but he had to wait. He couldn't ambush them too soon.

Delon had heard the thundering footsteps of the and looked out of the bushes to wonder what was going on. He thought to himself 'oh well for subtlety' as he rushed after the giant. He followed him through the woods to his hiding spot near the road, and patted him on the back.

"Hey there friend, don't be alarmed" Delon whispered, "looks like we'll be having some fun without Caston." he finished as he drew both blades, oozing with a green slime. As he surveyed his targets, he noticed that they were smaller than regular orcs, but had the same greenskin. However, their right body seemed to be much more muscular than the right, however their right arm had very long, vicious looking claws.

"What... What are they?" he asked the giant. "They don't look like regular orcs..."

He shook his head. He wasn't sure himself. He pointed to his own left arm, and then at the fingernails, then at the orcs. He then made a motion with his right arm for grabbing, and used his left in a stabbing and clawing motion. After that, he demonstrated cutting off his left arm. He then said in a low whisper, "W-w-w-w-w-a-a-a-a-i-i-i-i-t-t-t-t-t f-f-f-f-o-o-o-o-r-r-r-r l-a-a-a-s-s-s-t-t-t o-n-n-n-n-e-e-e-e-s-s-s b-b-b-b-b-e-e-e-f-f-f-f-o-o-o-r-r-r-e-e-e w-w-w-e-e-e-e a-a-a-t-t-t-a-a-a-c-c-c-k-k-k-k." He then pointed to Delon telling him to stay put, patted his back, and took off. The giant proceeded to move along with the army, taking long, quiet strides. He'd attack the middle of their ranks, hopefully drawing as many from the front ranks as possible. He didn't think Caston could handle that many, his magic was still pretty weak. He finally reached the middle of their ranks, and walked quietly in step with them, to keep his place.

Before Caston could utter another word, both of his companions were off. The army continued to march, and they hadn't returned. He would take matters in his own hands, he only hoped that his friends had enough sense to wait to attack.

Caston once again pulled his book from its place in his pack.

If ever there was a time where I need a spell to work, it's now... Caston thought as he adjusted opposite temperatures in the air, and began to churn the air into a tornado.

The Or'cara screeched in shock at the winds and broke off into two groups, dashing left and right to get around the forming vortex of wind. The group had not noticed the giant--his silent step was good indeed--but whichever way he would follow (or if he would stumble into the tornado) had yet to be seen. All the Or'cara knew was that the tornado could only move one way, which would leave Caston with one group potentially dead and one to potentially kill him.

As the Or'cara approached their target, they all raised their claw-arms and screeched out "Ca-a-a-asto-o-o-on!" at recognizing their target.
