123king

Twice now he's hopped onto small trains almost immediately after they start with little comment, and voting overall for frivolous things. Seems uninterested in actually making a real contribution.

I'm going with 123king, too, for the same reasons as bluecoat.

I, uhh, started the last "train"...

My vote for Bluecoat is purely because he's made two votes. That, if nothing else, seems fishy

I wasn't referring to your vote for Bluecoat.

Why's that fishy?

...because you're only allowed one vote :?:

It looks to me that Bluecoat is trying to keep his two votes too hard. If he'd gone "My bad, unvote", it'd look less fishy, but now he just looks like he's covering his ass from something, something like being MAFIA :grr:

When you vote for someone new without Unvoting, the Unvote is implied. That's a silly reason to vote for him.

I SEE WHAT'S GOING ON HERE.

Moving my vote to Spirographed on a hunch, and because I no longer care to vote for King.

Alright King, here's how it goes. Yes, you can only vote for one person at a time (sometimes there are roles that let you get away with more), but you can throw votes around as much as you want. My votes superseded each other vote I placed as I placed them; no unvote is ever necessary. The purpose of an unvote is to make it clear that you're no longer voting for anyone, particularly if you have no suspicions towards other players.

Like I said though, I personally would rather have a vote on another player. If you're suspicious of everyone, there should never be a point where you're completely stumped. And in a game this small, if you REALLY don't think someone is mafia anymore, you SHOULD move your vote to another player instead of unvoting. It's 1 in 4 odds that someone other than [yourself] is mafia (if you're a villager), and that number only goes up when someone is "cleared of suspicion". It goes up further when you factor in actual suspicion of whomever you're voting for.
Quote:
Right now, I am not at all suspicious of 123king or Muscular Ape. I know I'M not mafia, and assuming there are 2 mafia, that means that there's a 2/6 chance that any random player is mafia. I have a weak hunch on Spirographed, so odds are marginally higher than 2/6, because I trust my hunches.

In conclusion, vote more.

Day 3.

The players gather - along with a sense of foreboding. Only either are present this time; Spirographed is missing. Sure enough, he's found dead a short time later. The mafia's first success surely will make the town feel on edge.

Eight players remain. Five votes to lynch.

My first impression was that killing Spiro could have been a ploy to get bluecoat lynched, so I was leaning towards voting 123king, but then I felt like reasonably similar logic could be used to not vote for 123king. A WIFOM I'm going to leave be, for now. Still, if I had to choose between these two; it'd be 123king.

I don't feel like there is much to go on so far short of a detective coming forward, but given my above musings and that I was a Night 1 target, I'm leaning towards Aragorn, or Dr Henry as being part of the mafia. If it is Dr Henry, I suspect 123king is his companion; as Dr Henry voted for Thr over 123king after their votes for Vandal. I'm going with Aragorn, because I had a gut feeling that his relief over me being cleared was not genuine.

I'm leaning towards Aragorn being the Doctor to be honest. He's the only one who was actually glad you survived. Therefore, i'm assuming that he's glad he saved your life from a lynch. Dr Henry, on the other hand, seems to be awfully quiet, even giving his "excuse". I'm sure there's something strange going on there.

As for me, i'm pretty damned sure i'm not mafia.

However, Bluecoat still seems shifty. I'll keep my eye on him for the next few posts...

Ok so Ape is pretty much clear since this is a vanilla mafia game. If one excludes themself that's five people to pick from. With that being said my current thought is Ape, and bluecoat are villagers, Henry is probaly village, and 123king, and aragorn are mafia. Vandal hasn't posted enough for me to decide so he could be a mafia lurker. Keep in mind this is just my current thought, and may change. Also im visiting family, so all my posts are going to be via phone. Don't expect my confusing theories.

...that's the point of Mafia. It's all implications and suggestion. I'm not making a vote yet, because i'll just get accused of jumping on bandwagons...

In my defence I'm not the only one who couldn't get a read on you in the past, and as such, was relieved to see you taken out of the equation as a possible mafiosa. I've got to go out now but I'll add more analysis in a few hours.

I'm getting home knackered from work as I'm having to travel an hour and a half each way to get to where I'm training :/ honestly when I get home this isn't always the first thing on my mind.

My vote for Thr over The123King yesterday was a) because I didn't want to jump onto a train I didn't feel any strong inclination for, b) because I vote for people I believe to be mafia. So my vote stays there... so why would I want to change my vote from a mafia to someone I'm less sure on?

That said, Bluecoat

WIFOM be damned. I think he is mafia trying to double bluff. I've managed it before successfully and know that any confident player, such as Bluecoat, would go for that attempt. Spiro was not a threat to anyone in particular, and in general it is 'known' that WIFOM is a thing so the mafia kills someone to frame someone else... but since it is 'known' this pretty much never works... so it is a quite easy ploy to get Bluecoat to survive for a decent enough amount of time (which in a small game such as this, is certainly enough). If the mafia weren't attempting this, there were better targets than Spiro (as in more active, more productive for the town, etc.)

Ignoring all the irony in that post, I think occam's razor says that somebody is Fuzzy Bunny with me. Or at least I think that's the definition. If it's not, it should be.

Anyway, Top would do this. His comment at the start of the game regarding me losing my spirits and needing to be killed D1 is a metagame reference, to an [unprovable] incident from outside of a game in which I lamented that I was ignored.

Spiro was probably something as simple as a doctor dodge.

This whole post is so full of saying a lot without saying anything at all. It could basically be summed up as 'HMM PEOPLE ARE SUSPICIOUS'.
