"WTF?" is an alternative rock song by OK Go, and was released as the first single taken from their 2010 album Of the Blue Colour of the Sky. The song is in 5/4 time,[1] and the band has revealed that the song is inspired by Prince.[2]

I'm more "WTF" about why he thought Lander was using the red flags when Lander was quoting and responding to me. :?:

Kikori, if you considered what I was saying before deeming it spam, you would have remembered I did this last game and the game before. Standard tom-foolery.

Anyway, Kikori and Lander seem to be bickering as they always do, over whether each other is serious or not. It seems their main point of argument is that Lander is trying to be serious and jokey at the same time, mostly over Lander's unrequited omgus for Henry. I'd have to agree with Kikori on this point, since it was clearly a joke when first made, and there's no way he could have known it became serious since Lander never said anything to the effect until his naming of Henry as #1 suspect. Lander's point was not valid, however Henry's personal attacks afterward were not either.

As for my joker status, I'm surprised how seriously Kikori and Henry took it. I was joking, as I have the past two games D1. To me it feels they were trying to get an easy lynch off of my absurd behavior. Lynching me would be seemingly defensible as well, simply painting me as a jester. However, I am not, as others have said. Of the two, I see dr. Henry as worse, as his personal attacks on Lander over OMGUS were uncalled for, and seemed almost deperate.

Dr. Henry

Also, FOS:Kikori

Has a Jester lynch ever happened at RV outside of Legends? I've certainly never seen one. If a Jester doesn't end the game, then what is even the consequence of having one? Why not just lynch him so he can win with the town?

This is a moot point anyways because there's no reason to suspect Penguin to be a jester anyways. You're just distracting from the actual substance of my vote on you: wanting to lynch someone for joking around on D1, something you failed to address in your reply to me.

Pretty sure I played in most of the rv legends games and don't ever recall a jester ending the game.

The red flag mistake is because I was tired and not really paying attention at the time.

But really Penguin... MY personal attacks on Lander? What the hell are you on about? I ignored his OMGUS and then he started spouting crap about me being public enemy number one because of ignoring a joke vote on Day One.

Bit confused now. Lander attacks me for ignoring him, then Penguin attacks me for apparently attacking Lander back...

And Penguin, we haven't had a jester in a while, could easily have one now, and I figured that all your metagame stuff was you messing around, could have been an attempt to get yourself lynched early.

In all fairness, you voted for him despite logic getting flipped turnways a bit. There's no confusion here except how the attack was personal as stated by Penguin.

Not for more than a page or to such a degree of its use. Upping the ante on said tomfoolery. Also, welcome to the discussion.

1.) Not that I can recall, but I'm almost certain Rex told me a story of a Jester lynch in public games, one I didn't participate in. Sadly, hearsay is all I can offer.
2.) Because they assuredly win upon being lynched just as a Survivor wins by staying alive, regardless of if the Mafia or Village wins. It gives them a way out of being the good guy.
3.) Or it's the only substance in your post against me that I really had a defense from. Just like with PenguinGuy above, the rest of it made sense. Why refute good logic? Wrong, but good. I knew my behavior would earn the reaction it did. :?: It just about always does. The only thing I don't agree with is "wanting to lynch someone for joking around" when I saw it as further than joking around. Read above, it was a couple steps above his normal jokative behavior. I'll take being called extreme about it if it gets to the bottom of it, but don't act like I knew 100% he was joking.

The idea that Henry stinks for ignoring a jokative OMGUS vote has me uncertain about the suspicion against him, as does the implication that he's attacking personally rather than logically. I'd rather not try to headshoot him over bad logic (yet). And the drama sure to come from that statement will be dutifully ignored until my suspicions against Lander are once again answered day one, time constraints allowing.

Might be being sensitive, but seems pretty personal to me.

As for Jester use in RV games, I remember two in variants, none elsewhere. Mentos was in Insanity Mafia, and Ex Rex (I think) in Neighbors. Neither ended the game.

Against the argument that he attacked you first. He flimsily accused you and you refuted his argument as you said, but my point was the nature of your rebuttal. In comparison, your rebuttal was more pointed and personal than his original accusation.

You said I launched a personal attack because he put a OMGUS vote on me. No. I said the above after HE launched an attack on ME for ignoring it, and the above quotes aren't me being personal, just being a bit annoyed that Lander was seriously gunning for me over nothing when I expected better from him. The way I see it at the moment, with his wild accusations and poor logic, he is either a villager playing way off form and out of character, which I see as a bad thing because I, as a villager, want stronger players like him HELPING the town, which he isn't doing. Or he is playing like this because he is mafia and unhappy, and in that case we'd be better off without him.

So, can't be bothered to check if my vote is already on him or not, but Lander. If you are town, you are being a loose cannon and attacking the wrong people with practically zero logic and it is hindering the town, not helping it, whilst your death could help us discover some mafia. If you are mafia, your death is beneficial for obvious reasons.

Ninja'd second post by Penguin: I had done nothing but ignore a joke vote, and then I see a strong player like Lander putting me out as a mafia if he dies OR YOU DIE. If he is mafia, he is setting it up so Day Two he can gun for me after you flip town if he killed you tonight. I think that with something like that being said against me over nothing, and my frustration that he has used such poor logic, I feel that my response was valid. Furthermore, it has snapped you out of your Day One joking, and providing valuable responses from you, Lander, Kikori and myself in which Monk could use his famous analytical process on Day Two when he stops messing around.

That didn't answer my question. A Jester who doesn't end the game when he is lynched, who CARES if he is lynched? It doesn't affect their win condition one iota, so technically the Jester should just be able to be like 'Yo guys I'm Jester lynch me so I can win with you.' Which is stupid and makes the role pointless.

Pointless except to everyone who doesn't want to deal with it if the Jester goes all out to "Lynch me".
Pointless except to a Mafia who would agree to lynch him for a day waste and possible game end.

As the sun began to set over the mountains the group of 9 could not come to a consensus on who to kill. Though they had all participated in the discussion, no one could seem to sway the vote one way or the other and thus the days discussion ended with no lynch.

Day 1 - No Lynch

Votes:
Topsummoner
- Godders
Landerpurex - Dr. Henry, Kikori
Kikori - Topsummoner, Landerpurex
Dr. Henry - PenguinGuy

Night 1 Ends in Approximately 36 Hours - Sunday, August 12th at 1:30PM EST

I know I'm a bit early with this post, but I will be away from my computer at 1:30PM and all the Role PMs are in so I see no harm in end the Night a bit early.

---

The sun seemed to rise a bit earlier than normal over the Village. As the group assembled, it was clear that one of them was missing. The 8 who had shown up to the meeting quickly made their way to Dr. Henry's house only to find the door smashed in. As they stepped through the door they noticed something strange.

While Henry's body was sprawled on the floor, clearly dead, the rest of the house was spotless. It was picked clean of anything that may have given the group an idea of who or what Henry was.

With this death heavy in their minds the remaining 8 trudged back to the center of the town to begin the days debate.

---

Dr. Henry - ??? - Killed Night 1

8 Players Remain - 5 Votes to Lynch - Day Ends in 72 Hours: Wednesday, August 15th at 11:00AM

BBCode or Bulletin Board Code is a lightweight markup language used to format posts in many message boards. The available tags are usually indicated by square brackets ([ ]) surrounding a keyword, and they are parsed by the message board system before being translated into a markup language that web browsers understand—usually HTML or XHTML.
