The barrel smashes something, sending more badly drawn shards of glass flying. It seems the room wasn't actually dark like you presumed!
All the walls just have dark grey glass covering them! There seems to be something black jutting out the side of the light now.

Someone is accessing the keyhole from the other side of the wall! Maybe the Vuvuzela was an alarm to keep people out of the box?

You need to find a weapon, fast, in case they are hostile!
