I agree that this part stuck out to me yesterday, and I found it quite odd.

Care to explain what was so odd about it, Phantomrose?

The reason I voted so quickly for Dr. Henry was Jack's reasoning behind lynching him. If it would prove that someone is mafia, I would want to be lynched by the group to help the town as a whole. I feel that if someone is a villager, they are expendable (given there will still be enough villagers afterwards to be able to win).
The reason I was on the Godders vote at first was because I had misunderstood Jack's earlier post about Godders having more credibility. However, I did resend my vote after Jack clarifying his post to me.

Let me explain why I'm voting for landerp:

Landerp wrote:
8.) Jackstick - An enigma, has been on ALL trains. 2/3 being mafia. But he's plenty smart enough to bus the crap out of his own partners.

GODDERS TRACKED ME.

WHAT DID I DO?

Fuzzy Bunny ALL.

Godders is a confirmed tracker, now that he's dead. So either he was lying about me (why would he lie about that?), or I have some kick-ass role as a Mafia player who can't be tracked. But this is vanilla Mafia - what sort of role would that be?

Aaaaaaand Market Man6 stalked me as well, and also said that I didn't do anything. I assume he was attempting to win me over with that report. You can pretend to suspect that he was lying, because he's mafia and all, but his reports on bluecoat and Godders are proven to be correct.

Lander, with that information at hand, you know better than to suspect that I'd be bussing my own Mafia buddies.

Now go ahead and pretend like you forgot about this, this, and that.

Also, I don't understand why there's such a bad stigma over hammering. Guess what: I hammered Market Man6, and convinced Kisshoten to hammer Dr Henry. Both were Mafia.

I'll do it again if the opportunity arises.

There's no need to be so defensive. I would be very surprised if you were scum. I was only considering every possibility, and your playstyle's only consistency is that it never makes any sense. It would be one hell of an endgame if you WERE mafia and had bussed all your partners to make yourself look innocent. Though I think there is little chance that this is the case.

What is suspicious is that you are hiding behind Godders' reading on you. You didn't do anything THAT NIGHT. We do not know how mafia kills function in this game, you may not have been the one to carry it out that night. It's as simple as that. His report does not absolve you of all suspicion as mafia, and you acting like it does is worrisome.

SparkyAMS wrote:

and as such I had and have been trying to compile a vote list to see who may be mafia.

Based on who voted for the innocent blue, (who I assume all to be guilty until proven innocent)
I made a list of who they voted for the next time. Out of the four of them, the majority was for Godders.
Thus believing him to be the only one on that lynch list to not be mafia,
I decided to place my bet on another train.
I believed the all-ready suspected Market to be over 75% chance of mafia, so I voted for him.

The only one who had voted for Market the round before was Top, and what happened to him after market died?
Removed from the picture.

Now following a 50% chance of Doc being mafia, I jumped on his train.
Hearing Jack offer Kiss the opportunity to hammer, I checked if she did.
However it was late and I only read the first line (stating not wanting to kill just to kill,)
I scrolled down to see if someone else had done the deed, because I did not notice that she did.
Of course right after I voted I noticed that she had in fact already secured the lynch, and that my vote was useless.
Not wanting to look wish-washy I kept my vote and tried to be humorous.

On a side note, the last person Top voted for was Market, and he died.
The last person Blue voted for was Imasquid , and he died.
The last person Godders voted for was Jack, and he died.

Also the people I had highest on my list before the last vote was Landers, and Imasquid,
and they are (surprise-suprise), the only two people who have voted for me.

That is all.

Your excuse for the vote on Henry makes no sense, a bolded name sticks out even if you are glossing over posts (something you shouldn't be doing anyway).

Other than that, I'm not really following your chart or reasoning. And I am not the person with the scummiest voting pattern, let me assure you. Soooo...I see this as an OMGUS vote more than anything.

And where were these lengthy, thoughtful posts earlier on in the game?

To answer your question, Jackstick, I just found the wording odd, like you were like "ok, Kisshoten, now is your chance... finish him!"

I guess I found it humorous too.

It is a hard chart to read because it is barely a chart, just some scribbles for myself.
If you want a walk-through basically I put the four people who voted again after voting for Blue in that blue box.
As I said before, assuming all four of them to be mafia until proven villager, I took their majority vote as a mafia kill mentality.
Thus the one they were voting for was most likely a villager. (which he was)
Not wanting to vote for Jack because I cant read that guy, I decided I was going to vote for Market next round.
Luckily that seemed to happen anyway so that worked out for me. (dude was mafia after all)

Now I haven't got around to repeating what I did on my chart for the next round, because I didn't have time yet.
But from the people who voted for Blue and didn't vote for Market, I put at the bottom.
They happen to be Lander and Imasquid. Because of this I give you both a 75% mafia rating.

Doc Phantom and Jack all voted for mafia and villagers, so I give them a 50% mafia rating.
Doc started getting voted for so I joined in. And yes I glassed over some text. Sorry.

As for the reason I don't post often, I am a horrible typist and speller.
This took me forever to write.

Anyway my point is you were going to be my vote for this round.
And then you voted for me. So I get my revenge in the form of a OMGUS?
Yep. Win-win.

And what I'm hearing here is "Okay, Jackstick miiight be Mafia."

I've only heard of two types of mafia kills:

1. The whole group participates in the kill.

2. Only the Godfather carries out the kill.

Now let's look back at Godders' reports. Night 1, he tracked Market Man6 to bluecoat's home. Night 4, he tracked Dr Henry to Topsummoner's home.

Neither of them were Godfathers. That rules out Option 2.

Are there any scenarios I don't know about? If not, then the Mafia kills as a group. I think you already knew this. I think it's unusual that a player as confident in his skills as you would overlooked all of these details.

Don't try to spin this as me being defensive. Anyone with a brain worth its weight in styrofoam can reason that I'm the only one among us who actually has some proof of his innocence, based on the reports of trackers/stalkers/watchers.

I'm on the offensive, towards you, because I think you're Mafia.

If the mafia kills as a group, WHY THE Fuzzy Bunny WAS MARKET AT BLUE'S THAT NIGHT AND DID NOT VISIT THE DECEASED???

Wait, you probably have an explanation for that. He has a role so he doesn't participate in the kills, right?

The mafia kill you're forgetting about is the one where the Godfather designates a killer. Or where the person who sends in the nightkill request carries it out. In a game like this, where there is a watcher and tracker, it is highly likely we are dealing with a more unconventional killer scenario. There is absolutely no way that there are group kills this game, because if the watcher watches the house of the target, he would see the entire mafia. So try again.

I stand by the argument that there is no such evidence. You were tracked one night, and did nothing. Again, that does not absolve you of suspicion. It only proves that you did nothing that one night.

No, really.

Let's all sit idly by and let the mafia kill us off. :?:

Sparky, I don't buy your defence of the hammer, it seemed really convenient to gloss over, and to me so far Lander seems far more likely to be town than you.

Votes (4 to lynch):

Sparky: 2 (Lander, Aragorn)
Lander: 2 (Sparky, Jackstick)

Kiss and Phantom, care to weigh in on the debate?

Squid, you have yet to say a word today, what say you?

Care to address the post I made that makes your previous post about mafia kills look silly? Or shall you continue on ignoring things?

I don't actually feel I need to defend myself over accidentally over-killing a MAFIA, so I wont.

But hey, how about one last time saying,

Sorry for "conveniently" accidentally doing technically nothing to a freaking mafia member huh?!

Hmm . . . I don't feel that either Jack or Lander are mafia. Both voted for Dr. Henry yesterday and neither of their reasons behind it seemed fishy.

Lander has a point. When I catch up, I can always see when something is bolded even before I read the entire post.

Though I am not one to talk here as I wasn't able to be present much during the beginning, it seems pretty suspicious that Sparky didn't post much that added to the conversations until he came under suspicion.

I also feel a bit suspicious of Rose however I don't feel I have enough to go on with her. But this mostly comes from others saying that her behavior is similar to the last game where she was a baddie.

Sorry I haven't been as active as I want. I have been back in washington which is always a treat, but it means I have sixteen thousand things drawing for my attention. However, today has shaped up pretty interesting.

Sparky I am glad that we are seeing more of you. However, don't quite follow what you were deducing from that. It seems like a bunch of technical looking things cobbled together to distract us from what you've actually been focusing on. Blue tried to trap me earlier with crappy logic. And I regret that I took his ploy as a scum tell. I don't want to make the same mistake again. Sparky

Well it appears that I am soon to be hung.

But before that happens I would like to say my final words.

Words like scuba. Scuba is a fun word. Say it. Scu-Ba.

Anyway back to business.

Imasquid, Its funny that you say you don't want to make the same mistake again,

because you just did.

Not that I actually believe that its a real mistake, since I believe both you and landers to be mafia.

But of course I could be wrong.

:)
