What a game! Upick usually suffers from a lack of day activity due to over-reliance on night powers; something I actively tried to prevent by (attempting to!) balance such that the Day phase would be essential for both Village and Mafia. If some of the middle days are any indications, that was a success.

I was really worried about the balance of this game. Landerpurex is immune to being killed, Aragorn returns from the dead one day after dying (wouldn't it be funny if I had just let the game go to Night 8, let Henry and Spiro kill eachother, and then have Aragorn revive for a Village win?), Spiro survives death once, and Riptide is a doctor on top of it? I shouldn't have been so shocked for First Blood to be on Night Three! Bodies started hitting the floor in true Upick fashion though from Kikori's death onward.

I'm pretty happy with how everything turned out though.

Why didn't you do this!? :(

I have discovered something about myself when playing upick. My detection skills are inversely proportional to the complexity of the roles in the game. As they get more complicated, I get dumber...doh.

Musc and DH: Well played, that was nigh on a perfect play.

Good game.

Considering how poorly I played D2-D4, I don't know how I managed to survive the Sparky lynch and have Aragorn not suspect me.

Just so people know, I have a single-use night ability to target one person and make them require half as many votes that day to be lynched.

Pure luck that it was active today on Lander, as we did not expect Musc to be killed.

GG Spiro and my mafia cohorts. Especially Kikori - he so crazy with his fake rage-quit :P

You genuinely didn't appear to be behaving in a mafia-esque fashion to me.

I really suck haha.

It would have been hilarious, but would have been a total ripoff to the winners. Most of the town was misled, those who weren't were disposed of. From a mechanics point of view, typically the game just ends when there are only two players left; a majority can't be reached with one vote. (...most of the time) It just happened that both of the players left could nightkill, one was mafia, and one was third-party. This way is more fair.

Riptide protecting you Night One seems almost like it was a net negative for the town in the long run. Imagine if you had just died instead, clearing you, and then come back to life. The town might have worked out the mafia sooner with an additional clear.

To explain things on my part, I was just coming up with groups of people I thought were mafia and trying to push them to do somthing. I then tried to play it off as third party to avoid getting lynched. I knew I would eventually get pinned as mafia, but over estimated my ability to talk my way out of it and finger mafia. Lastly Ape I couldn't read if you were mafia or not. The message I sent you was a last ditch effort to get something out of you, but I got hammerd first.

Damnit. My night killing activated too late. I kind of wanted to be killed earlier so I could do some killing. Meh. Got Musc, and ended in a draw. I really wanted to be the last man standing and win the impossible. Ffff. Gg all. That 1/2 vote thing for lander at the end kind of sucked. You guys would have probably lynched me, though, so Ill take the draw.

Not everyone can be a winner, especially in this small of a game. I have to be really careful with the distribution of power, because Upick runs the risk of either too many people dying or too much investigative power. Unavoidably, some roles must be more benign.

That being said, you could have used your role better. Other players weren't aware of the nature of your role, so using it to influence the thought processes of other players is definitely a useful application. It was only useless because you didn't even bother using it, and how early you roleclaimed.

I didn't really think my role was useful at first either because of the 140 character limit, but it turned out to be fine. 140 characters was all I needed. I was debating on role claiming Martyr, but that would have probably backfired.

Yeah, that's why I was reluctant to thank Riptide for protecting me, I wanted to have been killed.

That was an awfully risky strategy, you seemed unbelievably scummy for doing that. I agree wrt sig, wish he had investigated you.

Top, what would I have been said to be had I been investigsted? Third Party w/ no other affiliation, eh?
I so tried to align myself as town...and instill the fear of trying to kill me into town and mafia alike. In retrospect, I should have just tried to get killed early on, and *then* said I couldnt be killed. Dr. Henry would definitely been my second kill. I had Musc fingered early on, but I really thought Thr was mafia. Ffffff. So close to the last man standing win. Fml.

Seriously though, fun game. Though, I probably shouldn't have baited the mafia into killing me so my pensieve ability would take place.
