I just had a thought, do the bulletproof (DH) and bomb (Kik) kill a yak without conversion? Like the paranoid roles? Or does it get bypassed?

Refraining from voting for a moment, for possibility of Aragorn being ANOTHER role, non-lethal. Also for possibility of Penguin being yakked.

I just have immediate doubts about Aragorn being mafia due to his ignorance of the Yakuza. So what say you Aragorn? Any counterclaim?

Aragorn, Rex is still here. He was part of the train against Monk Basher.

Topsummoner is clear. His partner in crime, Landerpurex, is not directly confirmed, but let's face it. As Top said, the Mafia hoped Lander and Top would die together. Lander stays proven not Mafia by association. (I am curious how the win conditions for Jekyll and Hyde would work out at this point, but eh.)
PenguinGuy is the biggest threat role-wise. To watch and track together means two rounds of detective-work at once. If converted to Mafia, he would be in a better position to fake his claims, especially given the self-protection situation Topsummoner is faced with.
Henry becomes an okay option to Yak. He's invincible against night kills, but that has yet to be tested and can only be proven upon death. He's confirmed villager only in that Lander says so, which does make sense.
For better or worse, I'm a poor candidate for it. I'm proven to be a poorer Mafia than Villager, and a retribution effect would likely not be worth the sacrifice required by Sayaka to start with. I'm confirmed villager only in that Lander says so, which does make sense.
CODfisherMW2's role is not yet confirmed, but let's face it, winking about his 'role' in things confirms he has one. I doubt he's been yakked. Educated guess says he's the Jailkeeper.

And unfortunately, Monk's death proves one thing. There are a minute amount of role-less people in the game, meaning we can't continue to go down a list of people and ask their roles just to get them to come out with data to feed our ideas. So at this point, two things. One, I'd like to have a "right" or "wrong" from Fisher about if he's the Jailkeeper. There's no point hiding it at this point--it can only prove we have another role potentially able to help us out. Not only that, but look at the death count. We have a suicided Yakuza, what is likely Lander's attack against Market Man, and a lack of Mafia kill. If you are indeed the Jailkeeper, Fisher, who did you protect / roleblock last night? Assuming Jaron's role did not consume the Mafia's night action, you may have halted the Mafia or saved their victim. Even if Fisher is NOT the Jailkeeper, this holds true for whoever is.

Two, Top's idea makes sense. So with that, Aragorn. Without a role, without a vote, without a realization of the threat of the conversion, and without a rebuttal to points made against him.

If Sayaka was jailed, his suicide would not have gone through.

For better or for worse, bar a shrink there IS a new mafia.

Don't really see myself as a good option to yak. I've been unconfirmed yet, and the only confirmation would be from a mafia or Lander-based attack. If mafia converted me, they couldn't confirm me as a pro-town... If I was to be yakked last night, the smart thing would have been to yak me AND attack me at the same time, so I survive the knife wounds (which was a mafia sign, Lander beats up people according to Animal and Market) and therefore be a villager, THEN converted to mafia. This didn't happen.

Penguin, however, would be an ideal person to yak. Top was clearly more likely to be protecting himself or Lander, and the attack on him hints at them guessing he was protecting Lander - the actual threat to them during the night, so they went for the confirmed detective-role (since Market hadn't claimed). He then is free to make up stuff about Aragorn.

So the choice is between Penguin and Aragorn as mafia right now, with the hope that if we choose wrong, Lander can correct the mistake tonight. Don't see how they can both be innocent o.O

Will wait for a reply from both before voting though.

Feeling a bit annoyed at myself too, haven't played with Jaron for so long I couldn't get a read on him so didn't call him out as mafia

had Monk figured out at least.

Oh and reading that Epic Mafia entry... apparently one idea is to Yak a weaker player in a WIFOM attempt. We've all become suspicious of Penguin and this could easily be what they wanted. I hate WIFOM... at the very least, if Penguin wasn't yakked, and Aragorn IS mafia, he wasn't the one yakked last night.

I don't have any role, just an ordinary townie. As for penguinguy's claim, I don't have a night role so he's either been recruited by the yak, or there's some redirection/swapping role going on here that I haven't heard about? Before anyone starts bandwagonning can we get Ex and riptide to claim?

Most people are out right now, so I don't really see the harm in a mass-claim. I'm really suspicious of Aragorn claiming to have no role, something that strikes me as terribly unlikely in this game

But we've got some time today, let's use it.

Oh, since I wasn't roleblocked last night (and I was really the obvious choice if the mafia wanted to go for me or Lander), I think we can safely say the mafia doesn't have a roleblocker.

Monk was a vanilla mafia, it is perfectly possible that Aragorn is a vanilla townie.

If every townie had a role (that has been claimed plus more) then the mafia would surely be overpowered ridiculously? I fully expect at least one of ex or rip to be an ordinary townie. If not, then this game is fatally flawed.

Oh I think we're way BEYOND fatally flawed by now.... We've just got to make do with what we have and get it finished. LET IT BE KNOWN: the Yakuza is probably not a good role outside of chat mafia, and really should only ever be used in a setup built around it.

The amount of random chance involved in a game is proportional to the amount of roles, if you have 15 players all with roles then it's impossible to strategise without random chance screwing the mechanics.

The next mafia better be normal.

I assumed that when Monk claimed Mafia roleblock and nobody counter claimed that they were roleblocked. Speaking of that, whoever was Jailed should come forward and prove Kikori wasn't lying (I doubt he was).

I can't really see any way to prove I wasn't yakked, except when we lynch Aragorn and he flips Mafia.

Well, since I've lost pretty much all desire to mafia anyways, I may as well claim... I'm the Cult Leader, a third-party role. My target N1 was Kikori, which explains him receiving the roleblock message. N2 I tried to target Kikori again, but was jailed myself.

Don't expect a whole hell of a lot from me for the rest of the game, I'll check occasionally and probably dump votes on whoever the current target is.
