I'm town-aligned, but I'm angered now. Appeasing me (or, admittedly, killing me) is a good idea if you don't want to be a worthless night role.

Where mentos comes into this though is he could be a Mafia Detective of sorts who can investigate people to learn either their suit, there card number, or both.

He's been defending Riptide from day one for the 'usual' reasons. I'm getting rather sick of this strategy myself. It's irritating how Riptide gets a free pass through most of the game, regardless of alignment simply because of how BAD he plays. As I recall I'm guilty of defending Riptide for these reasons in the past myself so I'm not going to press this.

Meanwhile, Scar goes on some useless speculation about cards after we had already determined that they were simply a reference to real-life mafia. Note how Monk is suspicious of me being curious about what they are at the beginning of the day and says I am 'redirecting attention', yet when Scar does it later in the day when there's actual conversation to redirect attention from, Monk does not even mention it. So you admit you were rolefishing? That's not town behavior. I'm reaaaally tempted to vote you now, but your roleclaim has made me wary. Mind giving us a Role Name while you're at it? I'd honestly be surprised if it was just 'Roleblocker'.

And last I checked claiming I can't do anything at night isn't the equivalent of claiming I have or don't have a power role, for that matter.

This is the first game that I've defended Riptide in, I don't usually get involved with anything he does in game because it has a habit of ending up going wrong for everyone involved. I posted that speculation Day 1, at the time I posted it we still thought there may be some importance to the cards. I also don't remember anyone ever confirming that there wasn't some larger meaning to the cards than an homage to the IRL Mafia games.

Also I don't know about you, but most people are able to carry more than one thought at a time. Your suggestion that I was trying to lead people away from the other conversation that was going on at the time is frankly one of the most moronic things I've heard this game.

Look at what we have going now even, Monk is after Riptide, Lander and Kikori may or may not be Mafia playing us all for fools, and now Riptide is going suicidal again. That's 3 separate things and none of them take away from the others, in the same way my suggestion about the cards didn't distract anyone from the rest of the game.

...to letting him off the hook more or less because he knew a Role Blocker role name. That is something anyone could find in 5 seconds on Google and knowing that Monk has played quite often before he wouldn't even have to Google it.

Hm... With Riptide straight-out admitting that he's a neutral role, he seems like a decent lynch today. However, since we don't know he's a mafia, I'm going to hold off on lynching him until near the end of the day to see if a better target presents itself.
