Ok. I've been playing on my phone, so it sucks tab-hopping and searching through posts, but I've gotten on a computer to make where I stand clear..er.

Kikori's vote is most valid because there are few things that bother me more than 'I have a suspicion but I'm not voting yet'. But, uhhh, you didn't bother to mention who the suspicion was either. Then a blatant OMGUS vote on Kikori.

What else do you have to say?

Well i'll be honest, my suspisions were orinally pointed at Jackstick due to his shiftyness and general threats of "AMAGAWD IMA BAZORZ ALL OV U!!!!!1!1one!", but since Kikori started pointing fingers at innocent ol'me, i thought i'd vote against him, since there's been a few votes for him already, and he also seems like a shift character. Either way, i stick to my decision to vote Kikori, knowing I can always vote Jerkstick later

The above {pg. 4}quote was where the tides turned my suspicion toward The123king. Multiple things about this post rub me the wrong way.
1.) The seriousness of the suspicion of Jackstick's "shiftyness" and "general threats" during Day 1.
2.) The OMGUS vote for Kikori.
3.) The fact that "since there's been a few votes for him already" is never a good reason to vote for anybody, especially on Day 2.
4.) The knowing that it will be an option to vote for Jackstick later.

Questions for 123:
Why take Day 1 tomfoolery/balleyhoo so seriously? What about Kikori seemed shifty that justified your OMGUS vote at that time? How could you "know" that voting for Jackstick later would be possible?

Moving along...

It ight be because i was muted :?:

Either way, Spriro

123, why have you been so quiet after the muting ENDED? Apparently I have to stress that last word...

unvote for jack.

123king i'm switching my vote to you because I want answers out of you and i'm unsettled by your shift in character. You were one of the most active people, now you appear to have fallen off the face of the earth.
You have questions to answer. Speak up.

Me being so "hush-hush" has been IRL getting in the way. I've had assignments to hand in to uni on monday (which i had to, ehehehe, start after new years day....) And then a mate at work got concussion by falling over pissed up tuesday night so i've been doing split shifts at work.. Oh, and to top it off, it was the 6th anniversary of my godmother taking over my local pub last night. Cheap shots and beer at half price > Mafia

-sigh- Inactivity...

Day Five ends!

Despite a seemingly longer day than usual (that Sun just refused to set!) the votes thrown around managed to achieve nothing in the end.

Night Five: Activate!

Night Five Ends!

With a lazy host not being bothered to give too much flavour text, two people were missing the next morning.

Kikori was found dead. He was a Clueless Townmember. He certainly was a bit confused.

Back at The123King's house, once again he appeared to be asleep, and no amount of shaking or jumping on him would wake him. Well, he did seem rather tired yesterday. Hopefully he will be awake by tomorrow.

Day Six begins.

8 remain, 5 votes to lynch

...What. Disregarding Sparky's vigilante kills:

Night 1: Nothing out of the ordinary happens
Night 2: 123king ends up sleeping through Day 3
Night 3: Nothing happens; additionally, Thr, the Mafia muter, is killed overnight
Night 4: Nothing out of the ordinary happens
Night 5: 123king ends up sleeping through Day 6

From this I draw two conclusions:
  • Thr either never muted anyone, or Henry never told us when people were muted.
  • 123king's sleep is a byproduct of his own role. If it wasn't, someone else would have been fast asleep at the ends of night 1, 3, and 4. Whether that casts him as Villager or Mafia remains uncertain. It means he's not being targeted by someone, but that's 0% helpful in determining his allegiance.

My vote for the disappearing Jackstick remains.

How can you be that certain that it is 123's role that is affecting him?

Also: Jackstick, I have seen you browsing this thread even after your absence was pointed out...what say you?

Nah, but it's ok when Jaron does it. :?:

He does have some valid points. By this time you normally have settled into your playstyle and have something of merit to say.

Usually around Day 5 Jackstick assumes the throne of the player with the most valid arguments. He's always gung-ho to join a game but he's done practically nothing in this one, and that doesn't sit right with me. That's not feigning inactivity, that's a playstyle choice.
Spirographed wrote:

Well I'm not certain per se. But I'm pointing out that:
  • It has ONLY affected The123king
  • It's happened only twice out of five nights, so it either has a random chance of being triggered or occurs after The123king meets and/or fails to meet certain conditions
  • It has continued to happen even after the Mafia Muter has died, so it's not a Muting role with weird flavor text
    • And even if it was, again, it hasn't happened every night, and it's only happened to him

My guess is that it's one of the old Insomniac roles with a twist. Goten once had an Insomniac role where he would stay up all night and insta-kill anyone who visited him that night. I'm thinking Henry has given The123king the chance of when to use it--and when he does, it has the downside of that he sleeps all day as a result of being up all night, and we lose one of the people we need to make a vote.

Aka, by using the ability on nights where The123king is NOT attacked by the Mafia, he very much hurts the town by costing us a voting member, which might explain the 40% rate of activation so far. It would also explain why he wouldn't want to talk about it, because that would mean the Mafia would just not target him to avoid getting counter-killed at night.

This is all conjecture though, obviously. Sounds like a neat role to me, but I've never seen anything like it before.

I also just realized that if my guess is true (still far from certain), it would, in my mind, prove The123king to be Village-aligned.

As such, I won't be voting for him. (Just FYI and all, in case you start a train again. I won't be joining it.)

Well, that's an interesting point. I've never heard of that role. It would explain things and seems to line up. I'll hold off voting for 123 until he can shed some more light on the situation.

It's not, however, time to hold off on all voting. My vote will be for Jerkstick until he can give a legit answer regarding his absence and it being an obviously different playstyle than we're used to seeing from him.

Beats me. In the realm of guesswork, anything's possible.

Though if I were to ever make such a role, no, it wouldn't be Mafia-aligned. For a few reasons:
  • Whereas a Village-aligned Insomniac is a safeguard against nightkills, a Mafia-aligned Insomniac MUST be Investigated or Protected to be of any use whatsoever
  • A Village-aligned Insomniac really would accomplish all of the same things anyway, if we assume The123king would have killed anyone that visited him
  • Sleeping during the day drew a lot of votes and scrutiny towards The123king, which is exactly the type of thing a Mafioso would want to avoid. If it was a Mafia-aligned role, it would have probably been best to never use it at all, especially since the town doctor is already dead

So I'm gonna go with nope--if this role actually existed, it would be Villager aligned.

However, I'm going to unvote for the moment.

It's Day Six, and that means that whoever our Detective is (assuming we have one at all) should have five nights worth of investigations under their belt. With 8 players left, any information at all right now would be critical and could possibly end the game, even if it's just a list of people we know are innocent. It's also increasingly likely that any Detective we have will be killed overnight. So I'm going to wait a day to see if someone comes forward. If not, I'm going back to Jackstick.
