Flight of the Conchords, Tenacious D, and Mr. Show for HBO, Viva la bam for MTV, and Behind The Lines for ABC. Dakota has received over a dozen Emmy nominations for various projects. [1]

Apparently Mountain Villages involve Sig posting things from Wikipedia?

Metagaming is a broad term usually used to define any strategy, action or method used in a game which transcends a prescribed ruleset, uses external factors to affect the game, or goes beyond the supposed limits or environment set by the game. Another definition refers to the game universe outside of the game itself.

In simple terms, it is the use of out-of-game information or resources to affect one's in-game decisions.

If Penguin actually has a role forcing him to be meta everything and Monk actually has to quote informative websites about not-so-helpful stuff, I'm calling BS on Scar.

My vote on Penguin stands. I'll take a Jester lynch ASAP to dealing with this all game.

Or both of them are mafia and decided to act like this to mess with our minds and roleclaim some random role (not quite as obvious as you being 'Drunk').

But I second your point about the Jester lynch. Penguin.

On a semi-serious note, Doc is my #1 suspect as mafia at this point. If I turn up dead, someone take those reins. ALSO if PG dies (cba for a vote count right now) and flips town, look to him.

His total ignorance of my 'omfgus' vote is the biggest factor. Several people are taking the easiest course of action this time around. Question kikori also.

You guys should know that Penguinguy is all about talking about the metagame for the lulz. We were promised a 'normal' game, I don't think a role involving the constant mention of the metagame fits that criteria.

In short, I don't think Penguin is mafia or a jester. I think he's just messing around. :?:

Seriously? You list me as number one suspect because, on day one, I choose to ignore what I percieve to be a joke vote?

The metagame is strong with this one. If I didn't metagame any better, I would metagame that metagame metagame.

Red Flag 1 - Expecting people to take a day one OMGUS vote seriously
Red Flag 2 - You can't be assed to vote for someone who, later in a post, you say is either Jester (who seems to want to refuse to cooperate with the town) or Mafia. Neither is a benefit to keep around.
Red Flag 3 - Those are pretty damning thoughts for someone who's only "semi-serious". Either you're joking and trying to get reactions out of people, or you're Mafia again and being just plain stupid about it due to distaste for the faction.

So let's play along to both options. Landerpurex.

Blindness is the condition of lacking visual perception due to physiological or neurological factors. Various scales have been developed to describe the extent of vision loss and define blindness.[1] Total blindness is the complete lack of form and visual light perception and is clinically recorded as NLP, an abbreviation for "no light perception."[1] Blindness is frequently used to describe severe visual impairment with residual vision. Those described as having only light perception have no more sight than the ability to tell light from dark and the general direction of a light source.

Perhaps, Monk, you'd like to define what I'm being blind to, or what you believe Lander's tone is that I apparently don't see.

It was a joke. But anything can become serious quickly. His presence late on the Penguin train as well as ignorance of my joke vote sends some red flags to ME. I expected acknowledgment, nothing more. I didn't get that.

 See Monk's previous post. Pretty large oversight on your part. Which is very odd indeed for a man who has so few oversights.

The only word I have for red flag number three is: really? Semi-serious is as serious as you can get on D1 barring extenuating circumstances. And if you think that I would purposefully play badly because of 'distaste for the faction', you don't know me half as well as I thought.

Kikori

There's a real OMGUS vote.

You of all people should know how serious day one can become when someone makes the right screw up.

You flatter me, but I have a history of missing little details (usually contained within one sentence) of some posts that undo portions of my argument. In this case, I read your post as indeed thinking Penguin was a jester. So yes, Red Flag 2 is null and void.

Landerpurex wrote:

There's a real OMGUS vote.

Except that you've done it before, more than once. You damn well have been Mafia and played noticeably lazily because of it, and admitted so after the game was over. So to be mafia twice in a row in a game with nine people? It's not a stretch to imagine that would put a damper on your spirit for playing. The point stands.

So now you are crying because you didn't get the attention you wanted? Boo hoo. Ridiculous excuse Lander, I would expect better from you. You yourself admit it was a joke, thus meaning that I really had no need to care about it in any way, shape or form. What would you have said if I decided to take it seriously and make a big deal of it? Probably something like "oh you are getting overly defensive over a clear joke, what are you hiding?"

You had no reason to vote for me initially, and your follow-up argument had no validation, so your red flags are just meaningless right now. The fact is, having seen your playstyle change last game when I knew you were mafia and could watch what you did differently, I'm in agreement with Kikori (again) that you don't seem to be playing like someone who is happy with his role. You are being a loose cannon, happy to go down in flames to get out of this game.

My gut instinct is saying that Penguin and Lander are the two mafia. Haven't really heard much from others though.

Just a random thought, but would that be a role involved in this game? A suicide bomber or whatever the hell the name is? It's certainly plausible if Monk has some weirdass role that makes him take quotes from Wikipedia.

Pretty sure Scar said this wasn't a variant, and with all these possibly roles it would go against what Scar said :/

Any discussion on whether this is secretly a variant is inconsequential and distracting. No-one will make the mistake of wrongly classifying the game again I think.

I am 87% sure that Monk and Penguin are just Fuzzy Bunny with us, and the fact that the Penguin train went to three based on this is alarming. Unvote

Kikori for the following:
Quote:
My vote on Penguin stands. I'll take a Jester lynch ASAP to dealing with this all game.

Seriously? We're on page TWO. Penguin's dickery cannot possibly be bothering you that much where you'd be willing to throw the game to a jester. Now if it was day two and he was still doing it, I'd see your point. If it was day three, I'd vote for him myself.

FOS Henry for agreeing with Kikori's inane thought.
