Seriously, you think you're ever gonna get that big tank out? First off, you'll be running more than the standard complement of lands just to amass the mana, and it can be dealt with by several cards each costing three or less (and that's only looking at the cards in Standard).

Which is exactly why people should pick me. You see, I can play Magic cards without energy requirements. I can make my Charizard use Fire Blast without those 4 damn Fire Energy cards. I can summon an Ultimate Blue-Eyes White Dragon without even having a card in the deck.

Besides that, look at me. I told you before that I haven't played this game in a long time. Now, you can look at that one of two ways: either I'm naive and inexperienced... Or, I'm less liable to trickery. Think about it. If you've played with the same person over and over again, you may become used to how they play - too used to it. If they're playing the game well, they'll just be trying to screw you into submission and get you in a place where you think that you can sense their move but in reality are just blind to what's really going on. If you have a person like me on the board, new and fresh yet still logical and intelligent, then I'm less likely to fall to these issues.

You see, players, in psychology we have something called "heuristics," which are basically simple ways for us to make decisions. They require less thought input than algorithms and can be fast at making decisions. However, this comes at the cost of being easily biased and not entirely accurate. You play a game with the same people and the same rules the entire time, and you become too accustomed to them and you fall to these heuristics. However, I'm fresh. I still think with more algorithms than heuristics in a game like this.

Choose me. I may be new, but you can bet that I have a lot to offer.

Aren't heuristics also called "common sense", though? Usually our thought processes are based on reinforcement of actions or ideas, so I would argue that someone lacking those is more of a detriment to his team. I, on the otherhand, have a solid understanding of how the players here play. I am the obvious choice, assuming a team can meet my steep demands (I'm worth it ;)).

Not necessarily. A process or behavior having a mix of hueristics and algorithms (such as language, if stretching the definition a bit) is more ideal, but if you've been in a game like this too much or are too comfortable in the position, then heuristics are more likely to be an inhibitor. I don't fall prey to these though, and I could argue that I'm more motivated to do well since it's still my first game in probably over a year, to be honest. I have just the right amount of experience to be familiar and still potent.

So, why should you pick me?

Well I've only ever been lynched once that I can remember, and that was my very first game. However unlike Lander, I havn't been lynch because I am awesome and not because I get killed off early in every game.

Really though, you should do it for yourself, help me to help you to help your team.

Unless you draft Tahu, he's always Mafia so don't put me on the same team as him please lol.

The generic town mayor was pleased that everyone had been accounted for. "Everything will be different tomorrow morning".

Night 1 has begun. PM me your night actions, or that you're electing to take no action. You have 72 hours.

I concur. We must lynch him now for the sake of the metagame, we MUST teach people that they can't go around claiming "anniversary" and expect leniency. Topsummoner.

The generic town mayor looked exhausted. From the appearance of things, it had been a long night sorting everything out. Still, he had managed. "I regret to inform you that someone died last night. It's not pretty, but then again he was never really a good looking guy to begin with".

Monk Basher (B), Team B Drafter, has died a bloody death. Indeed, the generic townspeople peered into Monk Basher's cabin to find a large pool of blood emanating from his head and neck area. The work of a talented killer.

Day 1 has begun. 14 players remain, 8 votes required for a lynch.

Monk Basher? Okay, I gotta admit, I didn't see that coming.

Well, I guess it's time to start. I don't really know what to do now especially in a game like this. Sorry, it's 3:15 AM and little late and I just came back from a fraternity initiation so sorry if I sound a little incoherent, I'm just really tired.

This reminds me of the situation in 4-Way Mafia, except a little more complex.

According to the Rules, there are three teams, a cult, and a mafia. We know that each team must consist of 5 players, and we know that the cult has 2 members now (unless Monk was one, but would we have been told that?)

What we DON'T know is the number of mafia.

Personally, I think the Cult is #1 problem for all the factions right now. I suggest all the teams to attempt to root out the Cult leader and Cultist; see if they lie in your group, then out them tommorow; or, if you find the cultist and you are a mafia, suggest to your mafia that the cultist should be killed.

We don't want teams to be broken up further by members dropping off to the cult, do we?

What Top said is amazingly smart, I think the only honorable thing for the Cultists to do is out themselves now like Gentlemen...

...I'll wait.
