OOC: I know, it's just that my character focuses on staying at a distance and shooting REALLY fast projectiles. I've stated in the bio, the missiles fire at railgun-like speeds, AKA, 5000 miles per hour. I admit, it was wrong of me to take this into my own hands, but I think the fight would end up being an endless stalemate the way it was going. I'll reverse my post back to the one where I was running towards him. I'll make my post tomorrow.

I appreciate it, for what it's worth. :^_^:

He's expressed to me in PM and in the thread that he wants to quit, so it's actually up to him whether or not he wants to reconcile. Besides, isn't that what 90% of a BF is is a stalemate between characters until one person gains an advantageous position? :?:

The moment Riku was cleared of Jack's attack as he stopped, he touched ground and kicked off after him. Air-sliding in Jack's direction was faster than gliding, and the distance between him and the canyon allowed him his full strength's of air slides before jumping and gliding immediately after Jack in the same direction. Riku started veering off to the left while above Jack, hurling his keyblade effectively through the attack so it would meet Jack's head if he didn't change course.

OOC: Might meet other body parts if you veer off wrong.

Saren forgot about the clone ryu mid-sprint, and realized he was about to slide kick him. Saren immediately fired a barrage of missiles towards Ryu, using the recoil from the blast as a brake. He jumped backwards and assumed a weary stance.

Brolaf braced himself for impact, knowing that his frosted axe would still strike true into his opponents already wounded chest. His helmet took much of the damage from the incoming blade, but it was clear it would no longer block any damage. His left axe dug deep into his opponents chest, chilling both him, and Olaf. After striking, he took a few steps back, and disposed of his helmet.

OOC: You never *did* defend yourself against the close range undertow.

Canceling the attack again, Jack dove backwards (since he was flying backwards!) downwards, the keyblade gliding past his toe hairs. He waited to see what the BOY would do, as it would be difficult for him to follow.

OOC: But you never actually made the attack. I'd be more lenient, but this is turning into a bad habit, and Lander is enforcing particularly strict rules this time around. Implied isn't good enough; you need to state, without reasonable doubt, that you're making an attack. Look at my posts: I always say the sword is being swung or something of the sort. I'm not accusing you of doing so, but being purposefully vague in order to hide attacks is borderline cheating, and most definitely not in character for someone like Olaf.

I thought he was referring to awhile ago when you guys were going back and forth about the undertow, when he did attack you, you dodged; and he pointed out that undertow still affected you. He does say that Undertow is throwing a frosted axe at an enemy...

BUT nowhere does it say that your axes are always frosted or that you can use it at close range. It makes sense that you can, but in Tahu's defense, you *should* say that they're frosted or that Undertow is in effect before you try your attack. Nothing is implied in Battlefield.

Riku didn't need to respond. He just had to keep his eyes on Jack as he floated quickly, riding the air current to the other edge of the canyon. Returning might be a bit of a feat, considering the end he started from may have been a tad higher than where he was now, but Jack was at the bottom of the canyon and unable to track Riku as he turned and coasted right a bit over the ground not far from the edge of the canyon.

Turning upright and hovering in the air a fair ways down the canyon, Jack glanced up and saw Riku disappear over the edge of the canyon above. Jack just floated there and waited. He was sick of playing cat and mouse. The kid would have to come to him.

At this rate, nothing would come of the battle. Jack was in the middle of the canyon, flying. Riku could only hover, but in the air, he would be crippled. "Then... I have to release the dark power I've been holding back." Riku landed, stopping his glide to begin walking toward where Jack was floating. "Even if it changes me, forever." Riku pulled the blindfold from his eyes, darkness trailing from it and engulfing his body as his physical form began to change. As Riku's head appeared above the canyon, he threw the cloth into the canyon, fluttering down and into the breeze. The guardian floating behind Riku vanished, materializing nearly instantly right in front of Jack. As its great arms began rushing inward for a grapple, Riku smirked at the potential trap for his opponent. "Check."

OOC: For reference from page 1.
Ruki (Transformed):
Image
(Terrible image, but all that really changes is the face.)

Bio: After losing in combat against Roxas, Riku unleashes the darkness in his heart, wielding its power to gain the appearance of "Ansem". Alongside this, he is accompanied by the dark creature "Ansem" once was shielded by, though this is only recorded to have been used by Riku to restrain others.

Abilities: Having unleashed the darkness, Riku supposedly can not return to his former self. That is his tradeoff for greater strength, his bodyguard, and (as I've decided, not game-wise) the unlocking of his "Limit Break", essentially dashing rapidly through the air with a thrust before ending in a great series of slashes.
If allowed, I'd like to upgrade all remaining spells at this point to -ara class. The increase isn't just power, but both visual and how the spells themselves work.

This means...
Fira is longer homing, but has a more powerful explosion. Potential to ignite.
Blizzara will send a small blizzard (not the spell, but an actual snowstorm effect) flying down, half-homing to its target. If it hits the ground, it stays in place until a target comes in range for explosion. Potential to freeze.
Thundara trades a line of bolts to bolts striking in the general area its caster was in at the time of casting. Potential to shock.
Aerora creates a ball of air that seeks out the ground under a target to throw them into the air if they touch it. High potential to air-toss.
Cura trades a simple, instant heal for a regen effect.

OOC: Got permission to join this, so guess who's back for a while? :D

IC: Behind a cactus near the canyon, a black spot appeared on the ground, shortly followed by a dark, wardrobe-looking thing spawning from it.

From this portal, a man stepped, dressed in fiery red robes and adorned with a helmet in the shape of a demonic skull. Not waiting a moment, he immediately began to conjure some items; A Healthstone, and a Soulstone (OOC: More on these when they're used) and cast Fel Armor on himself, filling his body with fel energies.

He then began to channel dark energies into the nether, beginning to call forth a being from within its dark regions.

OOC: Picture of the demonic wardrobe:

Character Bio:

(Note: I'll be using the Cataclysm version of the Warlock class, so info may be slightly outdated.)

The Warlock
Hidden:
Image
Note: Wings are purely decorative and only show up occasionally.

Origin: World of Warcraft
Background:
Hidden:
Warlocks are masters of the dark arts, devoted to furthering their understanding and use of shadow and Fire based magics, along with the summoning of demons from within the Twisting Nether. They first appeared on Azeroth during the First War, when Gul'dan, the first of their kind among the invading orc clans of Draenor, led the Horde across the dimensional gulf through the Dark Portal while in servitude to the Burning Legion.

History

The eredar of the Burning Legion are credited as the original warlocks and wielders of dark magics, corrupted from the powerful and magically attuned eredar of Argus.

In most societies, the warlocks now live on the fringe of civilization, tolerated but not trusted. Human warlocks meet in secret in the basement of a bar in Stormwind. Thrall has expressed discomfort with the warlocks but understands the necessities in using them so he has allowed them the Cleft of Shadow. Conventional spell casters often see the warlock's magic as a vain attempt at increasing their own power.

Although many that consort with demons fall to darkness, the warlocks of the Horde and the Alliance advocate bending demonic forces to one's will without succumbing to complete corruption. These spell casters can summon demons to serve them, and they can also cast many painful spells that slowly eat at the life of their enemies. Warlocks are usually physically weak compared to other classes, but they compensate for this deficiency with their potent array of spells and their demonic minions. Compared to other spell casters, warlocks are among the strongest and often depend on the sacrifice of their own blood to fuel their magical powers.

On the world of Azeroth, there are many races who presently wield the dark power of the Nether. The playable races a warlock can choose from are the humans, gnomes, orcs, undead, and blood elves. Each has its own history in the dark demon arts.

Abilities:
Hidden:
This Wowhead page has a fairly accurate list of the abilities The Warlock has. Also, The Warlock has some abilities that can be empowered by using a Soul Shard with the Soulburn spell. a warlock has 3 Soul Shards available to him, which can only be regained by casting Soul Harvest, or by channeling Drain Soul on an opponent as they die.

The Warlock will be of the Affliction specialization, meaning that along with the posted list of abilities, he will also have the following abilities: Soul Swap, Haunt, Curse of Exhaustion and Unstable Affliction. (For WoW-savvy players, I'll be using this spec).

Anything listed with a 10-minute cooldown or more I'll only be able to use once in the battlefield.

Demon minions also have their own abilities, which will be explained when they're summoned.

Also, for your convenience, I'll provide links to the abilities I use when I use or mention them for the first time.

EDIT: I found a convinient list with pet abilities too. You can see it here: List

On Damage-Over-Time (DoT) effects
A large amount of warlock spells is instant-cast damage over time effects that are practically on an enemy as soon as the spell is cast. I thought that this would be way too overpowered for a Battlefield setting, so I had the idea to change these into casted bolts that would need to travel (with a rather high speed) to the target to do their damage. The bolts would also bend their trajectory to home in to the target, but wouldn't turn around after passing it.

Curses don't generally damage the enemy, so I figured they'd be fine as they are.
