Three people play hand in hand until day three.
Three people are accused of being mafia, one of which you know is you and not Mafia, with basically nothing in common.
Two power players are dead after having heavy suspicions against one of the three people playing hand in hand.
The three people playing hand in hand are power players whose combined voice is effectively enough to sway the day to their favor. The lineup of Topsummoner, Monk Basher, and PenguinGuy is enough to play this kind of brute force game.

The argument is that they got caught and now Penguin's doing all the talking vs. they think you, I, and Aragorn are some finely spaced Mafia team with nothing in common.

Really, there's no reason to keep your vote withheld anymore. All the damn evidence is on the table. :\ At this point your vote decides the game.

The debate that day would surely go down in the annuls of history as one of the most fiery and energetic the town had ever seen. Back and forth the partied argued until, in the end one villager meekly broke the stalemate with his vote. With looks of determined confidence on their faces Kikori, Godders, Riptide, and Aragorn led PenguinGuy to the Gallows and slipped the noose around his neck.

As he stood on the platform, PenguinGuy looked out over the remaining townsfolk and as the lever was pulled and the rope snapped tight he gasped out one last word...

"Metagame..."

Then, he was gone. His body hung limp, slightly swaying in the breeze. The remaining townsfolk hurriedly rushed off to PenguinGuy's house to see if they had chosen correctly. As they arrived at the house, someone broke open the door and the crowd spilled inside. They tore the house apart, but didn't find anything linking PenguinGuy to the Mafia...at first. One townsperson tripped over a hatstand next to the door and as it fell it tore a hole through a painting on the wall.

The painting had concealed a large cavity in the wall, a cavity that was filled to the brim with what appeared to be stolen items from dead villagers, and a cart full of cleaning supplies. On the wall there was a collection of knives, two of them covered in blood. It appeared as if the Town had chosen correctly. With the victory fresh in their minds, they set PenguinGuys house on fire and went to bed. Hoping this night wouldn't bring them more tragedy.

The Village slept peacefully that night, their dreams filled with images of a Mafia free village. But as they awoke, and gathered once again at the city center, the grim reality of their situation set in. Yet another of their number had failed to appear. Knowing what was coming, the group of 5 worked their way to Kikori's home.

It appeared as if he hadn't even made it inside last night before being brutally murdered. His bloody corpse layed on his front lawn, with several large knife wounds covering his chest and throat.

Not wanting to stick around longer than they had too, the 5 turned and headed back to the center of town to begin the days debate.

I investigated Topsummoner last night and he came up Villager, but he could be the Godfather which would allow for one false detective investigation.

My vote stands, I think he's the godfather.

He's experienced enough not to have been a villager and made such an error of judgement in his support for penguin. The whole "let's wait for Godders" just screams to me that he knew he'd come up as a villager.

That was actually because I was out of the house at the time and didn't have time to formulate a better defense than that.

The village was quick to act that day, barely allowing time for their trusty Detective to speak up before sending someone to their death. Even when he came forward and told them the man they were after appeared to be harmless the mob pushed on.

And so, before the sun was high in the sky Topsummoner was led to the Gallows. Even as the rope was slipped around his neck, he professed his innocence. The lever was pulled, and the rop snapped tight as Topsummoners life left him.

The remaining Townsfolk rushed to his home, hoping they had chosen correctly two days in a row. As they opened his door, they were stunned. His walls were covered with pictures of villagers, both alive and dead, some with red X's through them, each picture accompanied by a list of information about that villager.

It appeared as if Topsummoner had been the mastermind behind the Mafia slayings, a Godfather figure of sorts, and the list one person found in his desk showed there had only ever been two of them.

The village was safe, the remaining citizens could finally sleep soundy...for now.
