My vote was a joke as well, hence why I quoted the part about how the first votes are usually jokes.

You still put him dangerously close to a lynch, and then you didn't unvote until almost a full day later, after you'd been called out for it by both Kikori and myself. You voted, then half a day later you acknowledged how many votes he had, and then another 8 hours later you finally unvoted.

You can claim joke all you want, but the timing of your posts and your reasoning stinks to me.

Essentially, sure. In themselves, they're miniscule. Add them together? Pretty damning.

I use it the most of any of us, sure. I see no reason not to when we have about a dozen games' worth of info to work with.
Landerpurex wrote:
As I said, you found an incident of my withholding my vote in an instance that I was scum. I can, conversely, find a WHOLE LOT MORE examples of me doing that as a townie.

I'm sure you could. But could you find one where you did it as a villager at the beginning of D2, where the posts in question occur? Further, could you find one with that specific language? With the same levels of suspicion against people?

No.

But you can find ones where you'll either outright start a train or muse on a couple of suspicions as a mafia.

Landerpurex wrote:
You say that my posting pattern is off by one post when I'm scum. Where in the world are you getting your figures?

By one post ON DAY ONE. I've never used that data before, as it's mostly spam. I guess I'll find out whether it's any use. (I highly doubt it) This was being used as a migitator, not as more evidence against you. if you have a problem with me posting things that might help you, I can stop.

As for where my figures come from, they come from our very own posts. Feel free to average up everyone's posts for their given roles and alignments. Certain trends become quite clear for most people. As I mentioned, you're one of the tightest groupings, so again, this isn't as useful against you.

Landerpurex wrote:
As far as my commitment goes, perhaps you're right. It isn't as high. Look at what happened last game. Maybe I ought to have taken a break. You also know full well that I'm much more of a threat later on in the game, when voting patterns and accumulation of posts can be analyzed. I don't do as well in smaller, variant-like games.

"Commitment" as far as voting for someone at first thing D2. Not "commitment" as far as activity. My second post D2 clarified that, so I don't know what you're doing here.

Landerpurex wrote:
What burns me, MOST about Monk, is that he's unwilling to move on from me.

If you thought you'd caught a mafia, would you move on?

Landerpurex wrote:
No one seems to be interested in lynching me. This is usually the time to move along and place a vote for someone else, someone like [b]Ex Rex[b] who hasn't contributed anything whatsoever besides some kind of half assed vote for Market Man. Or Noob for minin for that matter. Or riptide.

So yes, let's start a fourth train today! That's sure to lead to a lynch! Nope, won't further stall us at all!

Add nothing to nothing and what do you have? Nothing.

I probably could, not with the *precise* language as the aforementioned, no. I won't pore over old topics to defend myself nor condemn others. I have to draw the line somewhere, after all. I commit the most important aspects of past games to memory and that's about it.

You could have elaborated on this earlier instead of seemingly pulling numbers out of your ass. You also could have said you were comparing figures from TWO GAMES, not making a blanket statement as I was led to believe.

It seems I was mistaken, and for that, I apologize. It wasn't clear to me that you were referring to my vote rather than my overall commitment to the game.

A loaded question. I would if no one else was willing to side with me. I wouldn't if I thought I could convince others well enough to follow me. There's this really cool rule in mafia that says you can change your vote, you see. Some of us are known fro cycling through players rapid-fire like just to get them posting, Top's the most famous for it, I'd say. It works.

The day's still young and I'm an active player. See above, that cool rule I was talking about.

On to a subject you've been dodging for some time:

Why are you so adamantly and feverishly defending Riptide? Doesn't it occur to you that he *could* be scum?

Your ass, not mine.

It's been A Known Thing for the past several games that I like to chart this sort of stuff. Kik knew this, as shown D1:
Kikori wrote:
YOU KNOW. AFTER SUCH A GOOD START WITH MAFIA X. I WISH WE HAD A FEW MORE POSTS HERE.
Monk - You're better than this. And certainly much bigger on tracking posts and data from people to compare for early game conclusions. "Hi" alone does not suit you.

Quote:
You also could have said you were comparing figures from TWO GAMES, not making a blanket statement as I was led to believe.

Don't confuse my comparing two posts from two different games for meaning that I only use post data from a few games.

Fair enough. We've all done that sort of thing.

Of course he could. I simply find it less likely than, say, you or market. As there are two mafia in the game, my third-choice target is not worth focusing on. By the same token, since both mafia remain, focusing on the one I believe to be the more likely of the two seems more reasonable.

there is still a day of 'Fuzzy Bunny' voting left. so if i end up losing my defense, and die... then people will be able to look at voting patterns/accusations again me and figure out whos mafia.

if i defend myself well, then great!

The only 2 people who are yet to vote today are Market Man and Riptide, which i can only assume is because either they are unsure who to vote for or they are worried about an OMGUS vote.

Honestly the only person i can see being remotely close to scum at the moment is Riptide, but only because of his blatant lie.

I feel like the Lander/Monk argument will be like the Lander/Scar argument from the previous game - both arguing until one gets lynched and then realising they are both not scum.

Market Man's case - I think he thought that he had played enough games now to make a cunning accusation at Kikori that backfired and got him killed.

I've been thinking, why would anyone want to kill Dr Henry?

Why are people trying to lynch market man for trying to make a cunning accusation at Kikori that backfired and got him killed?

And why is everyone so inactive?

Doc Henry is a veteran player and every bit as dangerous as myself, Monk, and kikori.

Because he made those accusations against a townie. I wouldn't necessarily say it backfired and got him killed, kikori was a major target regardless just because of who he is and how he plays. Worst case scenario is that Market himself killed him.

You're not so active yourself, there, slick.

I can see you're argument for Market Man, and just realised Ex Rex is the only one voting for him.

And i think a lot of my activity stems from responding to other people's questions and having a conversation (like right now).

And not to mention the reason MM voted for Kik was because he was "copying his playstyle" or some bull like that.

okay, if you believe it is more possible for me to be scum, then make a case out of it. accuse me and post your reasons.
that way, i will argue my case.

two things could happen with this. i will defend myself well and we will all move on.
OR monk convinces all that i am scum and i get lynched.
if the latter is what ends up happening, then you can all see for yourselves how i am aligned, learn what you can, and come to your own conclusions.
and if i end up being lynched, its not THAT big of a deal.

i think this is the most aggressive post i have ever seen you make. and it is entirely to shift attention onto me.

Patently false. Upick 6, D3:

So why are you copying from Riptide?

Alternatively, why do you think using such a common phrase *is* copying?

Secondly, you're concerned about being lynched, so you go quieter:

You did this in Upick 6 as well:

Market Man6 wrote:

Your role that game? Scum. The only copying going on here is you copying your own (mafia) pattern.

1: the "rolling" thing.
he thought that he had played enough games now to make a cunning accusation at Kikori that backfired and got him killed
godders summed it up as well as i can say it.
i was trying to be a hero. i saw something that i felt was out of place(describing it as him copying), and i jumped on it. hard. that was pretty much as aggressive as i have ever been.
this is uncharacteristic from UPICK6.

2: concerned with lynch

im concerned with being lynched this game cause i have something to prove. the difference between this game and last game is that:
last game i came in with nothing other than a half game of exp.
this game i came in with a Win under my belt, and surviving till the last day. now i have to prove it wasnt just fluke, and i have to avoid being lynched to make it to the last day again this game.

For the sake of getting a lynch and keeping my word to that pious guy...

Riptide

Market is at least active at this point. You haven't done a goddamn thing other than blatantly lie.

Terrible playing? Or scummy playing? One way or another, it seems we'll find out. Withholding my vote or placing it elsewhere isn't going to do anything at this point.
