Delon caught the failed attack of Caston out the corner of his eye, and threw a dagger at his feet. "All poisoned for you!" he yelled as he lunged his remaining blade into the left arm of the remaining Or'cara.

OOC: I know they're faceless but that doesn't mean they shouldn't put up a fight.

BIC: Caston's attack on the front orc went awry, as the beast caught his staff and yanked at the same time. Caston instinctively let go, and the orc toppled backwards, slapstick comedy style. Delon had witnessed the attack, and had tossed Caston a dagger.

Caston quickly took it and slit the fallen orc's throat. He retrieved his staff, and set upon another orc, wary of him grabbing the staff. This time, he went for the feet, hoping he could trip the beast then crack him in the skull once he was down.

Goten is dead!

The giant's axes laid on the ground harmlessly, and the orcs' claws were dug deep into each hand. There was only one thing he could do. With a powerful motion he swung both arms at each other and brought them together above his head. The orcs had remained on each hand, and their skulls immediately crushed into each other's killing them on impact. He grabbed his axes, and sprinted for the orc that was charging Caston. Right before it reached Caston's staff, the giant flew at it, spearing the orc in the ribs. He then fell on top of it, killing it under his weight.

OOC: Think of how a linebacker will spear an unsuspecting receiver in football.

He got up, and peeled the Or'cara off his shirt and threw it limply on the ground. For good measure, he stepped on it's head and spit on the corpse. The wrath was slowly leaving his face. He sent a friendly wink to Delon and Caston. He didn't even notice how badly his hands were bleeding.

After stabbing the Or'cara in the arm, rendering it's grabbing useless, Delon used his superior agility to dodge the claw attacks of the monster, while cleaning the blood off of his blade. "The poison shall wreck your body soon enough." and just as he said that, the Or'cara crossed his eyes, vomitted, and dropped dead on the ground.

After dealing with the Or'cara, he returned to The Giant and Caston with a wide grin. His grin quickly faded when he saw how badly his large friend was bleeding. "Come here you." he motioned.

"No, but once your adrenaline stops pumping you'll feel that." Delon took his face mask off and ripped it in two. He crudely bandaged each hand. "That should hold you over until we make it to the next town."

He nods in appreciation to Delon. The giant remembered that his axes were laying in the grass where he had slain the orcs he was fighting, and walked over to pick them up. When he got back to the group he asked, "S-s-s-s-s-h-h-h-h-a-a-a-l-l-l-l w-w-w-w-e-e-e-e?"

Caston was still in a state of shock at what had happened. After taking out most of the orcs himself, Gigas had his hands bandaged by Delon.

Gigas..."Hey, do you have any idea why those beasts were calling you Gigas?" Caston asked. He pondered a moment. "Well it doesn't matter, it's as good a name as any." Caston grabbed his staff and picked up his knapsack. Gigas said "Shall we?" The only way he knew how, and Caston smiled.

"We shall." The three were almost to the city, only a few hours shy of the northern gate.

And by timeline, it has to be roughly 1:00 at the latest. The Or'cara had attacked at mid-day. (Afternoon.)

BIC...

The afflicted youth, Tory, had spent his leisure time mulling over the seed of doubt Dusk had planted within him. The more he thought about it, the more it seemed true... He was being held back. He was underestimated, and even feared... The signs of "friendship" from his classmates seemed less and less true the more he thought about it. So he decided, it truly was time to do away with those who would hold him back and seek his powers himself.

Taking a torch from within the nearest house, he crept to the building, manipulating the minds of those around him to look other ways or go elsewhere. Finally, he reached the Academy... Built partially of wood (to force Fire-type mages to learn control), Tory tossed the torch and watched as his aim was true. Fire started to spring slowly from the roof, moving out toward the walls as Tory wrapped his cloak around himself and ran off to the south edge of the town.

Right on cue, a dirty-dressed man seemed to arrive on a horse. "Hello, fine sir. If you seek the inn or pub, both lie in the northeast of the village. The stable is in the west; I shall take your horse there for your convenience, if you like." Trying to ensure his success in escape, Tory concentrated on toying with the man's mind, offering a trustworthy feeling towards the young black mage.

(Timing wise, the fire would start... oh, about two minutes before the arrival at the northern gate.)

OOC @ Top: Pfft. With as much havoc is being wreaked, how can we really notice one flippin arrow? Lulz.

BIC: The trio walked for a time, and finally reached their destination. They arrived in a panicked city. Before Caston could question any bystanders, he saw the cause of the commotion. There was a thick black plume of smoke rising from near the town square. Caston left his two companions and raced towards it, fearing the worst.

He arrived in the square, and the Institute was indeed on fire. Young mages were running out in a panic, while a very elderly man stood with several disciples, apparently trying to deal with the fire.

"Everyone! Focus as best you can, squeeze the air of every droplet of water it has, and douse those flames!" Caston joined them. It was a dry day, however, and they managed only a drizzle between all of them. "Blast!" The Headmaster said, as the fire raged harder in the drier air. He looked about quickly, his eyes resting on the large fountain in the middle of the commons. The headmaster then took all of the water in the large stone bowl, and hurled it at the building, at the same time fortifying it with water from elsewhere in the air.

The man-made geyser found its mark, but not before the fire had destroyed an entire wing of the Institute. The Headmaster leaned against his staff, and eyed the students that surrounded him.

"Who was responsible for this? Speak up!" He said, icy blue eyes prying truth, if any, from his staff and pupils.

"Sir, we don't know how it happened. A red wizard could never have started such a blaze, as they are always supervised by a senior blue wizard."

Before the Headmaster could respond, another pupil approached him. "Sir! We found this in the building; where the roof collapsed." He handed the old man a burnt out torch. Wizards have no such need for torches, which meant that that was most likely the cause of the fire. Which, in turn, meant that the blaze was no accident.

"I want everyone here questioned, I want people in the pubs asking questions. I want people inside, checking damage and inventory loss, and most importantly, making sure no one was hurt and assisting them if they were. Lastly, I want someone to go and fetch the blasted carpenter, so that we may make plans to fix this mess. This is going to cost me a fortune, what kind of bungling idiot...." He began mumbling to himself. Many people scattered, everyone had a part to do. The Headmaster stood there, evaluating the damage, no doubt. Caston approached him.

"Sir, I'm Caston Carnaly of Haven. I have something very important to talk to you about."

OOC: What the heck were you thinking, you could actually burn down the whole institute with people who specialize in water magic inside? olol, good fight. And that's right, the Headmaster is a Blue Wizard.
