Setup:
One of the following six:
1 Mafia Goon, 1 Mafia Stalker, 5 Villagers, Detective, Doctor.
1 Mafia Goon, 1 Mafia Stalker, 5 Villagers, Detective, Jailkeeper.
1 Mafia Goon, 1 Mafia Stalker, 5 Villagers, Doctor, Jailkeeper.
1 Mafia Goon, 1 Mafia Stalker, 6 Villagers, Detective.
1 Mafia Goon, 1 Mafia Stalker, 6 Villagers, Jailkeeper.
1 Mafia Goon, 1 Mafia Stalker, 6 Villagers, Doctor.

Players:
1. Monk Basher - Jailkeeper, Lynched Day Four
2. Landerpurex - Mafia Goon, Lynched Day Five
3. Kikori Kid - Villager, Killed Night One
4. Market Man6
5. Ex Rex - Villager, Killed Night Three
6. Riptide - Mafia Stalker, Lynched Day Three
7. Godders
8. DaleX99s Dr Henry - Villager, Killed Night Two
9. Scar - Villager, Killed Night Four

Rules:
No communication about the game, out of game, unless you have a role that specifies otherwise.
The mafia win when their numbers are equal to or greater than the good guys.
The village wins when all the mafia are eliminated.
To lynch someone in the day phase takes greater than 50% of the population voting for a single person. (10 people alive takes 6 votes to lynch, 9 people alive takes 5, etc.)
The day phase, unless otherwise specified, lasts three real-life days. (72 hours) I reserve the right to extend this length for any specific reason. The night phase lasts one. (36 hours)
Dead players may not talk to living players until the game ends. Dead players may communicate freely among each other.

Role PMs:
Hidden: 
You are a Villager. It is your goal to find and eliminate the mafia during the day phase, using logic and your vote. You win when all the mafia have been lynched.

You are a Detective. You are aligned with the village. During the night phase, you may investigate a player to discover their alignment. You win when all the mafia have been lynched.

Results:
You discovered PLAYER is (INNOCENT/GUILTY)!

You are a Doctor. You are aligned with the village. During the night phase, you may protect a player, saving them if they were the target of a nightkill. You win when all the mafia have been lynched.

You are a Jailkeeper. You are aligned with the village. During the night phase, you may hold a player in your jail. They will be protected from nightkills, and unable to perform their own night action, if any. You win when all the mafia have been lynched.

You are a Mafia Goon. It is your goal to take control of the village by killing villagers at night, and by tricking them into lynching their own in the day. Your partner is PLAYER. You may consult with your partner outside of the game topic. The mafia who sends in the nightkill will be the one who carries it out. You win when the number of mafia is equal to or greater than the number of villagers.

You are a Stalker. You are aligned with the mafia. During the night phase, you can stalk a player to find out their role name. Your partner is PLAYER. You may consult with your partner outside of the game topic. The mafia who sends in the nightkill will be the one who carries it out. You win when the number of mafia is equal to or greater than the number of villagers.

Results:
You discovered PLAYER is a ROLE!

Rune used to be a small village. There was nought but a sheriff's office, a clinic, and a small jail. Nothing to sight-see. Just a few dozen houses full of friendly neighbours.

Then gold struck.

For a decade or two, Rune hustled and bustled as everyone wanted a bite of that sweet, golden cake in the hills. Life had never been sweeter. The people grew rich, jubilant, greedy, fat. Neighbourly values faded into obscurity. Things got out of hand quickly. Friends became foe. All people cared about was wealth and power. Even after the gold ran out, there was only bitterness and distrust in Rune. People wished they could go back to being good neighbours again.

And then the murders started.

We come to Rune in the present day. Only nine sentimental men and their families remain. Even one or two of the detective, doctor, and jailkeeper have moved out of town... nobody was sure which at this point. Two of these families long for the fading glow of the past, and would do anything necessary to achieve it again. Anything. The other seven families want revenge for the blood. Someone will pay.

Day One begins. Nine players remain. Five votes to lynch.
The day phase ends at 10:30 PM EST on Thursday, March 29th.

I don't think we've ever once been on the same side. Villager or Mafia, we've never had the chance to cooperate. Stands to reason, since I'm a regular Villager this time, you're Mafia again.

Likely it was for the benefit of removing all doubt of what each role does. Nobody has been linked to any given role, but everyone is aware of what each claim has to be. This is, if I had to guess, mostly for the ease of mind of the newer players who were subject to my recent game with 100% unconventional roles and slightly more vague role descriptions.

Jeff just admitted to being mafia. Everyone knows all D1 claims are 100% true and cannot be jokes, therefore Kikori must die.

Sad day! I was all ready to put a joke-vote on kikori, but two people have voted him and it seems further votes would put him in legitimate danger this early on...

I am, however, alarmed that you'd claim so early on. You ought to know better than that, and Market Man is right to pick up on it. At any rate, we have been on the same side before, noob. Recall countless games where we argued with eachother to no end, only to find we were both townies.

Oh yeah, additional D1 nonsense goes here...

This more or less. It is also to make the set-up truly 'Semi-Open'.

Note, as well, that all three possible town power roles are included on the list, even though all three cannot exist in one of the six setups together.

What can I say? I've gotten sloppy. Or is the nature of an open game just different enough that a roleclaim has a different level of importance compared to those with unknown amounts of special roles? You'll never know until the endgame. :weird:

Godders - so your subconscious knew all along that you were the detective?


I was told i was the 'Pack Scout' so i had the detective idea in mind, but i wasn't aware of being able to ask Kik about other players.
