This is a little something that I felt like writing today and I'll try to keep it up-to-date as best I can, so enjoy the little bit i have done so far.
The Great War of Space
Prologue
NASA has found a way to quickly move around in space and how to defend their spaceships and shuttles from asteroids and other deadly objects. The new starships, as they were called, had everything humans needed to live on other planets. The first manned starship, the Jupitus, had a crew of fifteen men. The first planet the crew set foot on was Mars. The crew established a colony named Triumphant. Ten men stayed behind on Mars, while the other five went back to earth to pick up civilians. This went on for many years, going from planet to planet and establishing colonies. One day, that all changed. An unidentified starship landed on the outskirts of Jupiter's rings and attacked the civilians living there. The colony was destroyed in seconds with no survivors. Earth sends two more advanced starships with better weaponry then earlier to reestablish the colony. Both ships were ripped into shreds from the aliens’ fire- power. Earth builds a new fleet and prepares for war.
Chapter 1
Zach was in a simulator practicing with a fighter. He was inexperienced and quickly lost the game. Defeated, he returned to his room to talk with Alex, his squad commander, about extra practice in the flight areas. When Zach asked him, Alex did not answer at first then said, “Private, I cannot schedule extra training for just you! You have to decide with the rest of the squad if they want more practice!
“Ok sir.”
“Good, now go to the eating room and prepare the squad some hot soup to fill our tired bellies.”
Without another sound Zach trudged into the kitchen and prepared his best spinach soup. When dinner arrived, the squad trudged in and ate his soup and bread and thanked him for the meal. Zach nodded and washed the dishes. He stayed until every squad member had finished before leaving to work on his studying. He was developing a laser type 1 gun when “Shrew” knocked on his door. “Shrew” came in before Zach could answer and threw down a new schedule on his desk. Zach only had time utter a simple “Thanks,” when “Shrew” slammed the door shut. Zach took one glance at the paper and immediately jumped into his practice suit to go into the flight room. When he arrived, he noticed that his favorite ships had been taken, so he was forced to use a simple double laser fighter. He saw his friend Jason swerving around in the same fighter. Through the microphone Zach said. “Hey Jason. Lets show these chumps how to use these simple planes!” Together they intertwined and swerved halting the other team’s fighters at bay. When Jason was finally shot down, he and Zach had already taken down 20 of the green team’s fighters. Zach retreated and let Jason into the co-pilot seat after nearly hitting him while ejecting. Jason then said, “I’ll take the tail gun and then we’ll move in on the mother ship.” They were only able to get halfway when the alarm sounded and a voice said, “Pilots get to your fighter now! Aliens approaching near Eros!” Zach, Jason, “Shrew”, and Alex got into the same space frigate and prepared for the worst.
Chapter 2
Forty green ships were racing towards the small garrison at light speed. Zach deployed his fighter and joined his fighting squad. Suddenly blue and red lasers came upon them and many ships melted on contact. Zach led his squadron in a huge U-turn around a lone green starship. “FIRE!” yelled Zach into his radio. Tiny orange lasers hit the engines and shields of the ship, but to no avail. The ship turned on them and shot the huge blue lasers that everyone hated. Many people in Zach’s squad just got fried and went into particles in space. Then a huge tractor beam brought in the remaining fighters. Before Zach was pulled in, he shot five hundred lasers into the tractor beam emitter. It exploded and the inside of the green ship was on fire. Zach and the rest of the squad put on full speed and got out of there. Twenty alien fighters and one space frigate intercepted them.
