I need to point out some stuff that's sinking the town. Just having been bit pretty hard by it has sure been a catalyst, but don't mistake that for a grudge.

This is what, the third consecutive game Pyro's basically controlled the conversation, whether outright or by antic? I don't know how to say this without it sounding like I have something against Pyro, so I'll state it outright here: I don't. I do think it's been quite definitively shown that only the mafia is served by letting the game be defined by Pyro.

This is also the second consecutive game where the 'obvious mafia,' (which is a phrase that should really tell us all something) wasn't. I and others fell into it the game before this one and a fair few people fell into it this game. Neither Jaron nor I really had anything substantive against us in the end, and it took away a day at the least.

I only control the conversation in the game because of the low activity from everyone. My first assault on anyone is literally just to get the game moving and try to get some information.

Unfortunately in this game, things were pretty divided and there was never a lynch until day 4. That in itself is the big problem.

I'm usually dead after Day 2, so I wouldn't say I control the game.

It's the main reason I was so against the Zappa lynch until the character slip from Pyro put that theory in my head. When only three names out of ten are continually offering anything to talk about, it's a game of quiet mouse for the Mafia. Killing the actives almost always kills the village's chances. And it'll never change until more people start talking.

EDIT: On that note, why are people constantly joining if they plan to stay silent for prolonged periods of time regardless of their role? To cover a role, I can understand. To provide shock value when speaking up happens, perhaps. But to just plain contribute nothing and offer no thought? Doesn't exactly go over well to say you'll join a bring-your-own-anything party and come with nothing to offer...

I've always felt the biggest problem is the Village's inability to lynch. In my opinion, you learn a whole lot more from mislynching than not lynching at all. (Top strongly disagreed with me on this last game but he may have partially changed his mind?) You can throw around "so-and-so is voting for so-and-so" all day long but it's not until you learn if they were innocent or guilty that you can backtrack and see what people were doing. These days the Mafia's greatest tactic is to kill off active people so no lynches happen. I mean just look at the previous game, where Jackstick posted their whole Mafia chat and outright said he wanted me dead just because I was going to be active.

RuneVillage can't come back from that, IMO. Having any inactive players hurts the town, and that's a line that got crossed a long time ago.

Oh! Also, the theme was video game characters, but not main characters. Here they are (not to scale):
